@zandigg @teacherinRI When people talk about resolution of 35mm film, I think they refer to the resolution of a scan of the camera negative (and how much details it resolves), but common show prints had definitely less resolution, or at least they were softer

@teacherinRI @DanielHood4 A normal film print for general distribution had now at near to 4K resolution. We’re talking about a positive film copy that’s at least 3 generations removed from the original camera negatives. It’s a copy of a copy of a copy of a film, everything done optically
