@mccrabb_will @sjq000 Some of the greatest directors (Spielberg, Scorsese and Bertolucci) have this special relationship with they cameraoperators/dolly grips, theyre the ones in charge of the blocking, the DP just cares about lighting, and exposure.
@billiemelissa_ Never missed? Maybe since I am love.. but like any good artist he has made some pretty bad movies: Cuoco Contadino and Mundo Civilisado are barely watchable.
@zandigg@teacherinRI When people talk about resolution of 35mm film, I think they refer to the resolution of a scan of the camera negative (and how much details it resolves), but common show prints had definitely less resolution, or at least they were softer
@teacherinRI@DanielHood4 A normal film print for general distribution had now at near to 4K resolution. We’re talking about a positive film copy that’s at least 3 generations removed from the original camera negatives. It’s a copy of a copy of a copy of a film, everything done optically
@b_donc@deanbayou@PureNewZealand I did not know that. Do you have any reference or book suggestions? The Wikipedia page says that Morioris arrived to Chathman Islands around 1500. But thank you, I didn’t know about this but terribile history
@tvaziri@TVarizi So true! I was so concentrating on the booming and the change in exposure that I didt even noticed it’s recorded off a screen. Thanks again! As always
@deanbayou@PureNewZealand No. Not 300 years ago, but 300 years before the first European explorers. The whole chronology of Polynesian colonization is mad! The first humans arrived in Hawaii around 1000 AD. How crazy is that!?
