This week's Caving trip in North Wales had us climb 32 ladders down, a total descent of around 500ft with approx 1km of horizontal passage ways with false floors to traverse. We had a mooch around before we began the climb back up the 32 ladders - 500ft. A bloody good work out.
@13WHAM I love the name!!!! He has such beautiful and kind eyes. If I still lived in Penfield, I'd come say Hi and see if he was a match. Good luck finding his new forever home ๐ก ๐
@karnlt It was absolutely gorgeous. 18 degrees!!! Along the Beach it was nice because the wind picked up. On the Coastal path away from the Beach, I was a little worried the dogs might overheat being black in colour. Carried enough water between us to keep them going. They loved it.
Day trip on Tuesday for an excellent coastal hike. Talacre to Prestatyn and back with a detour to Gronant Nature Reserve and Golygfan Viewpoint. 10.07 miles... done โ๏ธ
Last weeks Caving trip was to a colourful Sulphur Mine in Cinwy County, with a snottite river and pools of sulphuric acid! This mine contains pretty red pools of acid: "Red waters". Once mined for fool's gold (Iron Pyrites) to supply metal for tanks in WW2.
We had ouselves a much needed beach staycation. We don't realise how much we push ourselves until we stop.
6.56 miles Thursday
5.63 miles Friday
Too many stops to make the entire walk from #Talacre to #Prestatyn. So we will have to try again next time.
10 mile sponsored walk from #Pontcysyllte#Aqueduct at Trevor (#Llangollen) to Chirk and back. Weather was on our side. So many people attended with a total of 106 dogs... including my girl ๐
