On Tuesday, we had a very productive marketing day: energy was high in the office with drones flying about the building, videographers around every corner, and even a few sparks flying.
If you're still questioning whether robotic modalities are valuable in therapy, think again -- the research certainly agrees.
Burt means fewer injuries, and more time for what truly matters—helping your patients get better.

One of the biggest challenges in rehab is helping patients reach into zones they couldn’t access before—safely, effectively, and with the right muscle activation. That’s where Teach & Trace on Burt can help in your therapy gym.
Burt keeps getting better, and so does rehab.
Very busy, and very productive first day at Arab Health Conference in Dubai!
We've been able to run a few Burt demos before the show has technically begun -- thanks to the huge support of Qish Medical, our GCC Partner.
We can’t wait to unveil this at the Arab Health Conference in Dubai on Monday (find us at Booth R.e59 in Rashid Hall). If you're not in the UAE, you'll find it on our LinkedIn the same day!

Barrett just hosted a Burt demo for the incredible team at Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital in Abu Dhabi, a member of the Shirley Ryan family. More demos are coming up throughout the next few weeks in the UAE and Qatar as Barrett tours with our GCC partner Qish Medical.
While most people know Burt as the Barrett Upper-extremity Robotic Trainer (BURT), the name Burt actually comes from Barrett’s late COO of 12 years – Burt Doo.
We’re proud to carry Burt’s name, history, and mantras behind the Barrett Upper-extremity Robotic Trainer.
We understand – with Burt comes a ton of data to interpret.
Provide a specific challenge
Support patients who need extra help
Quantitative answers to confirm traditional results
Curious about how Burt can transform your therapy sessions? Book a demo and see it in action!
Ready to take things to the next level? Games and activities have always been a part of OT (from its very beginning with occupational tasks in WW1).
Where gamification meets OT, theres so many levels to be explored, and we're just getting started.
To our incredible team and the amazing partners who’ve supported our mission to transform upper extremity rehab through robotics—thank you.
Here’s to new possibilities, continued innovation, and a fantastic start to 2025! 🎉
Robots stealing your job? Not in OT.
Think of Burt as a new set of glasses — it sharpens your vision, but it can’t replace your eyes!
Stay tuned to our page for tutorials on how to set, adjust, and conduct therapy with Burt’s 3D ROM features.
You use your hands WAY MORE than your feet in a day - it’s true! Most people take around 4,000 steps daily, some jobs perform over 3,000 hand grasps in just four hours of work.
The upper body has more DOF, thus a stronger link between motor recovery and functional independence.
Aging populations + cutting-edge tech = robotic therapy changing the game! Robots deliver high-intensity, repetitive training that boosts recovery in ways traditional therapy can’t.

🌞 It’s Barrett's final day at AMRPA in Miami! 🌴
Don’t miss out – swing by Booth 101 for one last chance to connect with our team, see live demos, and explore how our technology can make a difference for your patients and your practice.
As CEO Bill Townsend and CCO Matt Rigby showcase the Burt at AMRPA -- here's some more details on the tech behind the Burt. Our newest Puck motor controller, P4-16 is TINY (smaller than a dime, yet has all the capabilities of the earlier 37mm Puck).
We've all heard of neuroplasticity
