BREAKING: The @EBRSheriff has been breached by the Medusa ransomware group. The claims to have stolen 92.2GB of data, including sensitive information such as employee payroll records, prisoner information, and staging plans for police operations. As proof of the compromise, Medusa released documents containing this information, along with CCTV footage from inside the jail. Medusa demanded a $300,000 ransom from the sheriff's office, and has given them eight days to pay. If the ransom is not paid, the group has threatened to leak all of the stolen data.
