Some of the reasons our #crowdfunding campaign succeeded:
1. Our networks were large enough to raise the funds.
2. We dedicated the needed time to the campaign.
3. We were determined to succeed.
4. All of us became increasingly willing to ask people for support.
Dismissed as another teenage stunt, the developer rushed to the wrecking ball to move on with the works, until he’s informed that was a #Banksy, so he quickly sifts through the rubble for intact pieces.

“Johnny Depp Has a New Series of Portraits… and They Are Quite Bad”, titles a recent article on @artnet. What strikes me, is that there is no reference to the actor’s paiting method from a critical standpoint, making the headline just an overpromising promising disappointment.
Although the strategy of advising a potential client to not buy isn’t always right (for example, during an art or artist fair when you meet someone for the first time), it can be incredibly effective.

Thanks to #NanGoldin and the activist group she leads, the #Sackler name has fallen away from many of the arts institutions that named spaces after the family in exchange for its largesse.
Now, we hopefully expect to see many others gradually standing up to their own ethics.
