Tom's Top Tips
Effectively managing time:
A lot of people will work more hours on their work when there is no set structure to your day. Try to stick to what works best for you to be both productive and protect your personal time.
For example, if you’re doing a literature review and prefer to work later in the day, consider starting some work in the morning to clear your inbox, take the rest of the morning off to eat/ exercise/ live, and then have some protected work hours later in the day.

Effective Time Management:
When you know you have a deadline coming up, mark that date on your calendar with an alert 24 hours before, and work back from there thinking about, including:
📅 When you would like the work done by so you don’t need to rush submission
⌛ How long the work would take to do (and how much time you need to have to complete it),
⌛ How long it will take to prepare for doing the work etc.
This way, you can see how tight for time you are, and adjust your calendar accordingly, with alerts to help schedule your time
If you’re travelling to us for the conference, stay safe!
We are now going to be in Scarman due to issues at The Slate.
Very excited to see you all today! #BeaconConf23#BeaconConf
