Tarik Skubal was in the middle of an interview when Tigers' draft pick was announced on TV. He paused the interview to check out the pick, saw Cameron Flukey's fastball velocity and vertical carry pop up, and gave his thumbs-up.

Tigers have claimed RHP Andre Granillo off waivers from Nationals and optioned him to Triple-A Toledo. The 26-yr-old reliever has a 6.23 ERA over 30 1/3 innings in 22 career games -- 14 for STL last year, 8 for WAS this season.
