People said it because other people said it. They did not know why it was being said and heard everywhere. They did not give or ask for reasons. "Reason is the most naive of all superstitions" #MondayVibes #Conformism #reason #AynRand

7 yrs ago, Pak media fraternity lost one of its own.
Today, justice has finally prevailed.
No verdict can bring Mureed Abbas or Khizar Hayat back, this is a victory for Mureed's family, friends, and colleagues who never stopped fighting for justice.
Justice delayed, not denied.

+ Everyone has to leave, at least give her some dignity now. Say a prayer for her. May Allah bless her soul in peace.

[Beena Khan @BeensK]

I stayed quiet about Humaira Asghar because I saw that everyone who had access to a camera had something or rather a LOT to say.

It was heartbreaking seeing a life lost and no one seemed to care, but this society has become all about clout chasing +

Thread

+ Whether it's rescue workers or so called social media influencers or her own family, the lack of empathy is disturbing. Instead of standing on your soap box try to reflect what the society has become.

[Beena Khan @BeensK]

@Azrael_ll Then 'the brother', or ANY other family member??? Also I would request rescue workers to work and not make videos of the deceased, it's very disrespectful. Atl the very least show some empathy!!!!

[Beena Khan @BeensK]

The tragedy that has followed the passing of Humaira Asghar has me wondering that if she was a male, would her family accept her remains? The bitter truth is that females are often battling issues that we are unaware of. Sad but true
#Foodfortbought #HumairaAsghar

[Beena Khan @BeensK]

@khwamkhwah Yes, somehow 'society' has decided that its an obligation and 'disgraceful' to talk about. The same society that regularly dehumanizes females!

[Beena Khan @BeensK]

@yourlocaldaadi I am truly sorry for your loss, please accept my heartfelt condolences. Losing a pet is like losing a child, the grief you feel might fade with time. From my own experience of losing my precious babies, everyday is a struggle 😢

[Beena Khan @BeensK]

@magicmoxo Agreed! And to the family and friends they portray 'you' as the problem. Narc abuse is very real and tangible, time for us to recognize it in time!

[Beena Khan @BeensK]

@BauhatSara Nope, a century maybe, but seeing the depravity I feel even a century is not enough!!!
