SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Cloud Computing are still the most in-demand skills for almost all data professionals.
Whether you're a BI Developer, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst - you'll most likely still be using at least 1 or all of these skills!
I've built entire Playlists on YouTube for each of these that you can learn for FREE:
1. SQL: https://t.co/MYJidcRuBQ
2. Excel: https://t.co/vw5UmqNcTL
3. Power BI: https://t.co/qONzZPp7Jp
4. AWS: https://t.co/l6eM8JTTt5
5. Azure: https://t.co/cf5DKkYtqr
I've also built entire courses that go 50% more in-depth and have Real-World Projects:
1. MySQL for Data Analytics: https://t.co/nf1Wk1go2B
2. Advanced MySQL for Data Analysis: https://t.co/TPIrhn0GTx
3. Excel for Data Analytics: https://t.co/twgKjsK2HX
4. Advanced Excel for Automation: https://t.co/yHnKNb0IL0
5. Power BI Desktop for Business Intelligence: https://t.co/1WCdpb0oFD
6. Cloud Computing Essentials with Azure and AWS: https://t.co/aK0iucNrfi
These skills build the foundation of what Data Professionals work on in the real world. Working in Databases, Visualizing Data, Transforming Data, and Collaboration.
Dear National & International media,
This is Manipur right now at 10 PM IST (Friday, 17th April today). Is Manipur even a part of India? Why are you silent on Manipur? Wake up! No Justice, No Rest.
#HappeningNow
You’ve learned Excel, SQL, and Power BI… but still not getting interview calls?
The problem might not be your skills, it’s your portfolio.
Here are 5 data analysis projects that can instantly make you stand out 🧵
1. Sales Performance Analysis
Analyze retail or e-commerce sales data to uncover:
• Revenue trends over time
• Top-performing products
• Regional performance
• Seasonal patterns
Anyone can build a revenue chart.
The ones who get hired show WHY revenue dropped in Q3 and what to do about it.
2. Customer Segmentation (RFM Analysis)
Segment customers based on:
• Recency – How recently they purchased
• Frequency – How often they purchase
• Monetary – How much they spend
Don't just segment customers: make a business recommendation.
"Your top 12% of customers drive 61% of revenue. Here's how to keep them."
This will show your ability to drive targeted marketing and customer retention strategies.
3. Customer Churn Analysis
Identify why customers stop using a product or service by analyzing:
• Usage patterns
• Demographics
• Subscription history
This is the #1 project hiring managers actually care about.
4. Financial Performance Dashboard
Create an executive dashboard showcasing:
• Revenue vs Expenses
• Profit Margins
• Year-over-Year Growth
• Key Financial KPIs
Build it like you're presenting to a CFO and demonstrate your ability to communicate insights to decision-makers.
5. Public Sector or Healthcare Analysis
Use open datasets (e.g., healthcare, education, or elections) to analyze:
• Trends and disparities
• Resource allocation
• Regional comparisons
Here's the real secret: don’t just build a portfolio, build a case study. Clearly communicate:
• The business problem
• Your analytical approach
• Key insights
• Actionable recommendations
If you’re building your data analytics portfolio, start with at least one of these projects.
Stakeholder: I need a login page.
Me: For who?
Customers or staff?
Email or username?
Should users be able to reset password?
Do we need two-factor authentication?
Social login or not?
Should accounts lock after failed attempts?
Session timeout?
Remember me option?
Single sign-on required?
Mobile and web both?
Same “login page.”
Completely different implementations.
One simple request.
Multiple assumptions.
If you build the first thing you hear,
you’ll miss what’s actually expected.
Stakeholder requests are usually brief.
Requirements should never be.
Good morning, and have a good day.
7. How to update data in your chart.
To modify data within an Excel chart, you can directly edit its source.
By linking your table to the chart, any updates made in the table will automatically be reflected in the chart.
