🚨NEW: British actor Sir Idris Elba has urged that James Bond should not become "woke," warning that audiences would not accept a Black actor playing 007
This Government created non-existent problem through witholding payments due for contractors. After the whole system had created suffering and people's nerves had been weakened, they'd tactically start disbursing those funds and make it a success point to themselves.
We've never had such clowns at helm since the return of democracy in fourth Republic like these ones. 🤡
Most marriages don't end over betrayal. They erode in small moments, both people angry at once, and neither willing to be the one who softens first. The Salaf understood this danger, and one Companion built his whole marriage around avoiding it.
Abū'd-Dardā' (رضي الله عنه) gave his wife Umm'd-Dardā' a single rule to live by:
«إذا غضبتُ فرضِّيني، وإذا غضبتِ رضَّيتُكِ، فإذا لم نكن هكذا ما أسرعَ ما نفترق»
"If I become angry, then win me back. And if you become angry, I will win you back. For if we are not like this, how quickly we would part."
Notice it runs both ways. He doesn't wait for her to repair things. He commits to being the one who mends it, and asks the same of her. Anger met with anger has only one ending.
Someone has to choose to fix it. Every time.
Ibn Ḥibbān in Rawḍat al-ʿUqalāʾ
The worst feeling for a man is when he tries to have a conversation with a woman about behavior that hurts him every day, but instead of listening, she gets angry and turns the situation around on him. 😠
My issue with modern feminism is no longer about equality. It feels like feminists are angry at the realities of being women, and since they can’t direct that frustration at nature or God, they direct it at men instead.
The likelihood of marrying two or more women, all of whom would be unkind to the man is very slim. If a man marries a single woman who has this mentality, he would labour all his life and die like a waste. Muslim women going about with this kind of mentality is worrisome. More worrisome is the fact that the woman has a lot of listeners and she spoke as though it was an authority in Islam. They need to learn to keep quiet on matters that they have no expertise or knowledge.
Islam obligates a husband to provide for his wife and children according to his means. That responsibility is indeed his. However, Islam does not teach entitlement, selfishness, or a lack of cooperation within marriage.
If a wife chooses to contribute towards school fees, feeding, accommodation, or other family needs, that is an act of charity, kindness, and partnership for which she is rewarded by Allah. The Mothers of the Believers and many righteous Muslim women throughout history supported their families financially when needed.
Saying, "My money is my money, but his money is for all of us," may be legally correct in a narrow fiqh sense, but marriage is built on more than legal rights. It is built on mercy, sacrifice, love, and mutual support.
A successful Muslim home is not one where spouses constantly calculate what they can withhold from each other. It is one where each spouse asks: "How can I help lighten the burden of the other?"
Rights are important, but excellence (iḥsān) is even greater. The strongest marriages are sustained not merely by what is obligatory, but by what is willingly given for the sake of Allah.
In 2021, as chairman Senate committee on works, Senator Kabiru Gaya advised president Buhari to solely award the Kano-Kaduna-Abuja road to Julius Berger construction company. His insistence was out of wisdom, that JB is known for high standards and will build a road that can last 50 years. God bless Kabiru Gaya for that, now that Infiouest Nigeria LTD has completed the 39kms abandoned by JB, we know the difference.
The Zaria-Kano portion of the road constructed by Infiouest has already started twisting, collapsing and even having small craters within three months after completion. The road will not last one year from all indication. Presently from Makarfi to Kwanan Dangora, thr road needs urgent maintenance. If in doubt please take a trip to the road.
The road also has a very huge crater immediately after Kwanar Dawaki before 7up. That road is not more than 30 days old. This is truly sad and I feel pained. This unknown company Infiouest was mentioned by Senator Adams Oshimhole as a furniture company. It is like the owners made the name in a manner that no one can even pronounce it.
This makes Nigerian corruption quite different from the rest of the world. While in a place like Indonesia, politicians will inflate contract, but execute the job to the highest possible standards, Nigerian politicians will virtually steal 90% of the money and build something that will not last more than one year. A road that will not last one year is as good as useless.

The ADC has spoken: @elrufai is not merely a politician under pressure, but a prisoner of conscience whose continued detention raises serious concerns about political freedom in Nigeria. History rarely remembers those who silenced dissent kindly.

Underrated life hacks:
- pray first thing every morning, last thing every night
- always keep an open notebook and pen within sight
- halve the amount time you allot yourself to read books & do your work
- extend your vision out by 5-10 years, then reverse engineer to present
- every time you catch yourself worrying, immediately surrender it to God
- never stop learning, ever, no matter what
- recognize no one is stopping you more than yourself
I’ve never spent more than a week outside Nigeria. No matter the flaws or challenges, I always feel caged in another man’s country. For me, there’s truly no place like Nigeria… the greatest country in the world.
