I oppose Franklin County's decision to eliminate the public comment portion of County Commission meetings. Public comment is not a privilege granted by government—it's a fundamental part of self-government. If there are concerns about disruptions, the answer is clear, rules and accountability, not silencing all citizens.
Transparency, accountability, and citizen participation make our communities stronger. I urge Franklin County to restore public comment and ensure every resident has the opportunity to be heard.
State Senator @BenBrownTweets led the charge to pass this legislation, ensuring that Missouri elections reflect the values and priorities of its own citizens, not the interests of foreign donors.
NEW: @apublictrust filed a complaint with @AGCHanaway pressing Missouri to investigate two left-wing nonprofits that violated the state’s new foreign funding ballot measure law. 🧵

If someone is qualified, and has successfully worked in their profession throughout their career, there is no reason they should have to step away from that profession and lose their ability to provide for their family while completing and requirements specific to Missouri. This is a commonsense reform that will help us compete for experienced professionals in regard to many of the professions we currently have shortages in.
My bill to address the toxic abandoned landfills in our state has been perfected in the senate! After decades of inaction, while our land, creeks and rivers continue to be poisoned, we're finally moving towards a solution to begin addressing these environmental catastrophes.
