@allenholub Engineering is and has been the right word. Just because our industry has turned it into “assembler” doesn’t mean we should invent new terms.
@MetaQuestHelp super happy with the quick turn-around on a repaired headset. But you didn’t return my controllers with it. Ticket 4451585 submitted on March 2nd. Please just send new controllers if you can’t find mine.
@PragmaticAndy “How much work can we fit into this sprint?” How many millions have we wasted trying answer this pointless question? It’s doesn’t cussing matter.
X : I'm an expert in agile.
Me : Good on you. I'm sill learning.
X : Would you like me to teach you? Have you ever done any agile before?
Me : I started using XP around 2000, just before the agile manifesto came out. I think this graph will help you.
@allenholub It’s simple: leaders using their strengths to serve others. And we could use more of that. Is your issue more with the inappropriate application of the term than the term itself?

@RussellSkaggs I’ve been in a few Scrum environments that operated like this. Team members got their work priorities from the Product Owner, and retired into a capability lead (Dev, QA, BA). There ar ea few different ways of doing a matrix org structure.
@ClifforddDavid@mpoppendieck I’ve always felt guilty too, even though I’m twice as productive, get to see my kids in the AM, have time for exercise, etc.
