I love this SO much:
A 54-year-old woman with brutal chronic pain disorder took 11g of mushrooms.
Before, 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭–𝟮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸.
Doctors tried:
antidepressants
anti-seizure drugs
opioids
ketamine
They implanted a spinal cord stimulator!
𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱.
2 weeks later, her pain would return to:
9/10.
Eventually, she was getting as much as 1,200mg of IV ketamine a month.
Then she tried Psilocybin.
Three guided sessions over 5 days.
(𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 2𝘨, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 5.5𝘨, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 3.5𝘨)
One month later?
Her pain: 1/10.
Nine months later?
𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝟬–𝟭/𝟭𝟬.
𝘡𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦.
And the constant fear of falling?
She fell 𝘵𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘦 in the last nine months.
From 9/10 pain and constant falls...
to almost no pain at all.
That’s honestly not a small improvement.

Sometimes I read a psychedelic case report and genuinely don't know how this stuff isn't being studied everywhere.
Hey @elonmusk
Any news about a first real flight of the starship with destination mars?
We need to become multilplanetary as fuck. As no one did before ❤️
When #publichealth says ‘we don’t know the long-term effects of vaping,’ is that a call for more research...
...or a permanent excuse to ignore the massive relative risk reduction vs smoking?
Because I don't see or hear of any 'long term research' being done.
