I‘m more than happy to see this paper after more than 10 years finally out in print in the @RevEconStudies . We address an old question on the link between unemployment insurance and unemployment dynamics. Thanks to @kuhnmo@makro_philip for the great collaboration!
Great to see our paper “Unemployment insurance reforms and labor market dynamics” out in the @RevEconStudies . With @makro_philip & @BenjaminHartung, we revisit the old question of labor market research of the effects of unemployment insurance reforms on unemployment rates. 1/10

It was great to talk about the ECB‘s approach to climate risks in our monetary policy operations at the EEMI Symposium and learn about recent market practices regarding green mortgages.
A big thank you to @BenjaminHartung from the @ecb for joining us in Venice. Very interesting to learn more about the ECB’s work around the management of climate risks and the implementation of climate action in monetary policy.

On my way to the #IZA25Berlin Conference. I am super excited as I going to present my joint work w/ @makro_philip & @BenjaminHartung on the long-standing question of labor market changes after unemployment insurance reforms

Two years ago today my dad returned to Moscow to fight for a democratic, free and beautiful Russia. Today we are launching a campaign to free him. Join now! Say no to war! Free Alexey Navalny!

I cannot say anything material about the allegations around #briq. Despite being at Bonn for many years, the interactions with the people involved have been limited. What I can say is that the statement released by briq is not the tone I would have liked to see.
A long thread after a long night:
That was tough weekend with many constructive discussions over the commision‘s proposal for the #gas_cost_break.
Given the objectives set by the government, I think we have reached a very good proposal in the #GasKommission.
I’m still recovering from the weekend I spent at the gas commission, trying to develop a comprehensive €200bn policy package within 48 hours (which reduced the time allocated to sleep to about 4 hrs in total).
What did the commission recommend, and why? Here is my take 👇
A question to those who believe a gas price cap wouldn't change demand: What do you think caused this?
Political savings targets? Sunday speeches? Non-existent rationing policies?
We really have just one single mechanism in place to reduce gas consumption: the price. That's it.
