Tbh, you should be ashamed of yourself for comparing Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United legacy to Michael Owen’s at Liverpool.
Based on your own argument, legendary status is determined by what a player achieved and contributed to a club. If that’s the standard, then trying to diminish Ronaldo’s status at Manchester United makes absolutely no sense even for you..
This is a player who won virtually every major trophy available to him at United. He won 3 consecutive Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup, League Cups, Community Shield and Club World Cup.
He wasn’t a passenger in those teams either. He was one of the main reasons United reached those heights.
He won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year 3 times. He won the Premier League Player of the Season back-to-back in 2006/07 and 2007/08. He won the Premier League Golden Boot with 31 goals in 2007/08, scored 42 goals in all competitions that season and finished as the Champions League's top scorer with 8 goals, including scoring in the final.
You are here belittling the Ballon d'Or and perhaps even the FIFA World Player of the Year simply because the player you hate so much for leaving your club after achieving everything there had won it while representing Manchester United,
Imagin saying this about the first and only United player to win the Ballon d'Or since George Best in 1968?
A player scored 145 goals, 209 goal contributions in 346 appearances for Manchester United and you have the guts to cast doubt at his legendary status.
Sir Alex Ferguson, the greatest manager in Manchester United's history and arguably the greatest football manager ever, has repeatedly spoken about Ronaldo in the highest terms and regards him as one of the great players he managed.
Yet some of you who claim to support Manchester United spend their time trying to rewrite or diminish what Ronaldo achieved at the club simply because you hate the man for leaving Man United.
You people have moved from debating who is the "bigger" or "better" United legend to trying to argue that Ronaldo isn't a United legend at all. That's not being logical. That's allowing personal feelings to override history.
There is no fanbases where you see people work this hard to discredit one of the greatest players ever to wear their club's shirt.
Whatever you think about Ronaldo personally, his Manchester United legacy and achievements are part of the club's history. You don't have to like him, but pretending otherwise is ridiculous.
