Today, Senate Republicans will fund federal law enforcement, including the agency that defends our homeland and protects our borders. We are having to do this through an arcane process because Senate Democrats are unwilling to enforce our immigration laws and always side with illegal aliens over American citizens. They will offer a long series of unrelated amendments intended to sabotage the process. Their desperation to put foreign criminals above the security of the United States should be met with disdain and a united Republican vote to squash their grotesque agenda.

What a day in Colombia!

Congratulations to @ABDELAESPRIELLA for receiving the most votes.

The beauty of democracy was on full display as the people of Colombia exercised their power to chart their future, in their own hands, with their own voices.

As an observer, I’m truly humbled and filled with pride to have been invited and to have witnessed this historic election.

The strong partnership between the United States and Colombia remains vital, especially with the continued need for robust security cooperation in the face shared challenges.

Democracy won today, but the work isn’t done yet. There’s a runoff in three weeks, and, at the request of the CNE, I’ll be back to observe the final round.

Nacido en Colombia, pero sin votar en estas elecciones por ser ciudadano estadounidense, me presento hoy ante ustedes con profunda humildad, gran respeto y una esperanza inquebrantable, como invitado y observador de este proceso histórico.

Estas son SUS elecciones. La solemne decisión de quién liderará Colombia pertenece exclusivamente al pueblo colombiano, a nadie más. Ni a gobiernos ni ciudadanos extranjeros, ni a voces externas, ni a intereses corruptos, ni a criminales dentro o fuera de sus fronteras soberanas.

Este principio inquebrantable constituye la esencia misma de la legitimidad democrática.

Celebro la fortaleza de las instituciones democráticas de Colombia y la vital importancia de unas elecciones libres de intimidación, coacción o cualquier forma de interferencia.

Update on the tragic bus crash in Virginia:

Five people are dead, including a 13-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, after the driver of a motorcoach slammed into stopped traffic on I-95.

@FMCSA Administrator Derek Barrs and our investigators are on the ground at the crash site working with the @NTSB.  

Local police confirm the driver of this motorcoach — a man from China who became a U.S. citizen — doesn’t speak English. He received his commercial drivers license from New York State in 2024.

Unacceptable. This is exactly why we are holding states’ accountable, enforcing the rules of the road, and cracking down on drivers who can’t speak English.

If you can’t be properly trained, read our road signs, or communicate with law enforcement, you have no business driving a bus.

Our investigators are reviewing New York licensing records, training documentation, and the driver's history. Any company, trainer, or school that contributed to putting an unqualified driver on the road will face intense scrutiny.

On the evening of May 28th, approximately 100 anti-ICE rioters gathered around the Delaney Hall ICE facility. Rioters bit, kicked, and punched law enforcement officers.

Governor Sherrill refused to allow state police to assist our officers.

Assaulting and obstructing @ICEgov law enforcement is a crime and felony. Throughout the night, nine rioters were arrested. Anyone who assaults law enforcement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Law and order will prevail.
