Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America.
He embodies the broken system we’re running against.
It’s time to come together: The People vs. Ken Paxton
Selling stolen oil and putting billions of dollars in a bank in Qatar to be spent without Congressional approval is not Constitutional.
Only Congress can appropriate money.
The President can’t legally create a second Treasury overseas for his own piggy bank.
Wake up Congress.
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.
Tapper: Those are officers being attacked on Jan 6th? By this standard, would any of those officers be justified in shooting and killing the people, causing them physical harm?
Noem: When people are physically harming them, they have the authority to arrest those individuals.
Tapper: The president pardoned every single one of them.
Noem: President Trump has been so focused on is making sure that when we're out there, we don't pick and choose which situations are in which laws are enforced and which ones aren'
Tapper: I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers. Undisputed proof, undisputed evidence. And I just said President Trump pardoned all of them. And you said that President Trump is enforcing all the laws equally. It's just not true. There's a different standard for law enforcement officials being attacked. If they're being attacked by trump supporters. We just saw that.
So far, the ICE gang has shot & killed an unarmed man & lied about the circumstances; shot a woman 5 times for obstructing their vehicle; roughed up elderly women and zip-tied small children; shot a clergyman in the face with a pepper ball; marched through downtown Chicago, masked and armed.
And they're NOT going after the "worst of the worse," as promised. Most of the people they're snagging have clean records. Some are citizens.
To be clear: this is NOT making Chicago safer. It's state-sponsored mayhem; dangerous political theater calculated to provoke.
If we’re unable to organize politically, freely contest political decisions, peacefully and democratically vie for power, then we no longer live in a democracy. At that point, we’re once again subjects.
That’s why we’re fighting so hard for our rights.

We beat Paxton again in the 15th Court of Appeals. Turns out you can’t cancel the First Amendment just because you don’t like what your political opponent is saying.
“Democracy rarely dies in a single moment. It is chipped away via abdication: rationalizations and compromises as those with power and influence tell themselves that yielding just a little ground will keep them safe or that finding common ground with a disrupter is more practical than standing against him.
This is the enduring lesson of Weimar: extremism never triumphs on its own. It succeeds because others enable it—because of their ambition, because of their fear, or because they misjudge the dangers of small concessions. In the end, however, those who empower an autocrat often surrender not only their democracy but also the very influence they once hoped to preserve.”
The result of the President and Republican governors sending troops into cities against the will of both the leaders and citizens of those communities will be tragic.
What happens when civilians are unconstitutionally arrested and detained? What if someone is shot by a member of the Guard, either in an unfortunate accident or rush to judgement or by explicit orders of the President (former Def. Sec. Mark Esper says Trump asked him during his first term if he could use the military to shoot protestors. Esper said in an interview that Trump said "Can't you just shoot them? Just shoot them in the legs or something." And he's suggesting that that's what we should do, that we should bring in the troops and shoot the protesters.”)?
But that’s probably what they want. They will use the chaos they create and the resistance to authoritarianism that will naturally arise as pretext for their further defiance of the constitution and the rule of law. More consolidation of authoritarian power, more unconstitutional control of institutions (including elections).
We must peacefully, nonviolently resist this with everything we’ve got. Thank you to every mayor and governor, every American who is standing up against them. We need that fight right now.
🧵Trump’s deployment of federal agents and the National Guard to D.C. was never about crime. It’s a political stunt and a serious abuse of power. I explain the danger this poses in the @nytimes https://t.co/bfMRKaxbom
BREAKING: The @SupremeCourt_TX has denied AG @KenPaxtonTX's petition to reverse the 15th COA's decision in his case against @BetoORourke over quorum break funding.
The 15th COA had put the brakes on discovery & delayed a hearing in the case against O'Rourke. #txlege
What we are witnessing in Texas right now is a constitutional crisis being orchestrated by activist judges on the Beto-loving Fifteenth Court of Appeals.
Beto said, "f*** the rules," and these unelected justices—Scott Brister, Scott Field, and April Farris—are helping him do just that with his unlawful bribery scheme.
What's worse is that the Texas Supreme Court just made a ruling refusing to stop the appeals court's insane decision to help Beto.
We must stop Beto from buying off our politicians and the judicial activism allowing it to happen.
They can't win on the merits of their policies or the character they present to this country. So they're trying to steal the election of 2026 in the summer of 2025.
We have 15 months to stop them. Let's get to work.
