Leicester City renew their loan from MacQuarie 🧛♂️🦘secured on Premier League parachute payments. In most recent accounts this was £50m at 8.3% interest per annum.
As well as the money owed to  Macquarie , Leicester also owed £81m in unpaid transfer fees at 30 June 2025, of which £28m was still due a year later following relegation to League 1.
Whilst Leicester had sold players and instalments due on these, it borrowed a further £61m from Macquarie secured on those payments at an average interest rate of 8.02%.
