Since I haven't been able to get online and steam a live auction because I've been sick. I have a ton of holiday jewelry that I'm selling. Everything is 3 dollars unless otherwise stated. I've made everything buy it now. I do bundle shipping. And accept reasonable offers. Sign up through the link below and have fun shopping. I will hav a separate store up soon. As i r been mainly bedridden I've been working diligently building that.

There's been smoke from Canada, as well as California that has wafted into other states. It's not new. It is however getting much much worse as climate change continues to get worse and drought conditions increase considerably. I'm in the Midwest we now have wildfire warnings. Those are newer within recent years because it is now much drier than it ever was.
Why is using medication such a bad thing. Most depression can't be helped unless you're taking meds. Some things can temporarily alleviate symptoms. But depression is a chemical imbalance in your brain. To help correct it you need meds. There's nothing wrong with using other tools in conjunction with medications but don't harp on medications. Some of us need these meds to stay alive.
I'm gonna say it. The answer isn't to ban social media for kids. It's not gonna do shit. The answer is community. The answer is to fund after school programs. Fund art programs, music programs, make sports for kids more affordable. Implement common sense gun laws so kids can go outside without the risk of being shot. Kids are just gonna find other ways to get on those social platforms. Or they're gonna lie about their age, putting them more at risk of coming up against a piece of garbage. Kids aren't addicted to social media. They're bored! They need stuff to do.
Not every relationship has to be perfect, and I get that the point of a soap opera is to be a drama. But I've always maintained this, we never get to see happy lesbian couples on TV. There's always some kind of bad, or a breakup or murder or r*pe or cheating.
Is it true to real life? Sure it can be. But the same repetitive storylines do such a disservice to the queer community. Especially lesbian parings. With Marin, they've never truly been happy. There's always been a marriage, a man, or someone standing in their way. Now we got Fina having to make a choice between Marta or Bianca or the possibility of a breakup. For what? Shitty storytelling? I can tell you as a viewer, this does not keep me engaged. It actually infuriates me and makes me not want to watch. And you can tell me time and time again to give it a chance but how can I when I as a lesbian viewer, been burned at every lesbian storyline out there.
SDL had the opportunity to tell an incredible love story about their reunion, they had the opportunity to show reconnection and love without the boundaries that stood before, they had the opportunity to show a story about the acceptance by Marta's family, and Mafin not having to hide in their own home. Instead, the chose to have Fina still be in relationship, lie to Marta, have the reconcile only to bring back Bianca at some point and cause major conflict. Or possibly a breakup. There was so much potential, so much more than the same bs storylines we are fed over and over again. But no, they chose to squander it like every other storyline out there.
It's sad that queer owned tv networks hardly survive because we as a community need to be telling our own storylines.
The fact that it's 2026 and writers still can't write a decent lesbian storyline that doesn't involve a man, cheating, pregnancy or death is asinine.
There's so many other ways to tell a dramatic story without all that.
I know better than to trust anyone writing a queer storyline for tv. I do. And yet I had high hopes. Award winning writers my ass. This storyline is trash.
No, it's one thing to have Fina having left a life she wanted in Argentina. It's another to have her cheat. Not acceptable. A betrayal of who Fina really is as a person. No, absolutely not.
Sigh, I know fina moved Marta and i understand that this is a big change for her since she built a new life, but can I rant for a second. I'm really kinda tired of this whole, lesbians can't be happy storylines that we always get.
Someone always has to lie, or keep something from someone. It's not just Mafin, it's other storylines too. So much so that it's hard to sit and support any queer storylines anymore cause they either end very grossly, violently, or someone ends up sleeping with a man.
I understand trials and tribulations, and I know that I should see what happens before I reserve judgment, but that's very hard to do when as a community you've continuously been shafted by media.
I get that things cannot be all hunky dory on a soap opera, but for fucks sake, can't they be in a happily committed relationship with out secrets? Have we not learned any of the other ways to inflict drama that doesn't include secrets, cheating or death? Cause they exist.
27 "award" winning writers and still no one has grasped how to do this.
That being said, I'll give it a chance. But I just feel like I'm going to be let down yet again.
Stuff like this actually puts negative attention on the situation in Gaza. Yes we should be supporting Palestinians but not in this way. This does more harm than good. I know the intent is to draw attention to the situation but stuff like this doesn't actually work. It just takes the focus off the situation at hand.
It's not the first call. But he had plenty of time to be responsible, I called my employer the day my dad died letting them know I would be out for a while. It wasn't my first call. But it was a call b fore I was due to be at my job. Devastating things happen, but responsibilities don't just go away. Unless you're physically unable to call your employer that should be a call or a text you make at some point before you have to be at your job.
