30 years of ATLiens, now we got a squad 👽⚽️
Met the younguns back in East Point and got ’em suited up.
Jerseys came out too cold. Go get you one @MundialMag and support the children.
Outkast birthed ATLiens 30 years ago and we are bringing it full circle by supporting a new generation of ATLiens.
We sponsored and helped design their jerseys and Big Boi even pulled up on our new youth squad @soccerstreets from East Point. ⚽️
Made some for you, your mama, and your cousin too. Every kit sold helps keep soccer free for the kids @soccerstreets. Yeah, they glow in the dark … as ATLiens do. 👽
Out now at @MundialMag. Link in bio.
30 years ago today, OutKast released 'ATLiens.' Here's what André 3000 had to say about what it means to be an alien:
"Being an alien is just being yourself, when people don't understand you. We just trying to let everybody know there's a place for everybody in this world. You just gotta find yourself, and be true to yourself. That's how you get prosperous and happy."
Released on this day in 1996, André 3000 and Big Boi dropped their sophomore album, a love letter to the South that cemented Atlanta as the rap capital.
