You know what’s cooler than saving money?
Saving money on stuff you ALREADY buy.
Gas. Restaurants. Travel. Shopping.
It’s all in this free app.

Our best qualities and our worst qualities are closer together than we think.
That hit me hard yesterday.
My friend, let me tell you what happened.
We've been out in Fowler, California visiting family and friends. Didn't make it to church out there. But I was able to jump on Zoom and catch my home church service back in Elk Grove, Illinois.
(One of those little blessings of technology that I don't take for granted.)
The pastor has been doing this series on Jesus that's just been... real. Not polished. Not safe. Real.
And yesterday he talked about Peter.
Now if you know Peter, you know the guy had passion. Fire. Boldness. He was the one who stood up in Matthew 16 and declared, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God."
Beautiful moment.
But here's where it gets uncomfortable.
Just a few verses later, when Jesus explains that He's going to suffer and die... Peter pulls Him aside and basically says, "No way, Lord. That's not happening."
Same passion. Same boldness. Same Peter.
Except now that passion wasn't following Jesus. It was trying to redirect Him.
Stay with me here.
The pastor made this point that I can't shake: the very qualities we're proudest of are often the same ones that get us in trouble.
Peter's love for Jesus made him brave enough to declare the truth. And that same love made him stubborn enough to reject the plan.
I sat there on Zoom thinking... that's me.
53 years of marriage. Raised a family. Farmed. Taught at-risk kids. Built businesses. Lost some too.
And through all of it, I've wanted MY opinion to be right. MY direction. MY plan.
Not because I'm a bad person. But because the same drive that kept me going through cancer, through crop failures, through career changes... that same drive sometimes makes me grip the steering wheel when I'm supposed to let go.
Here's what I've noticed about retirement especially.
Many of us spent decades being the ones with answers. The boss. The parent. The decision maker. And then we step into this new season and we try to lead our way through it the same way we led through everything else.
When maybe what this season is asking of us... is to follow.
To seek good counsel instead of demanding our own way. To trust a plan bigger than the one we drew up.
For me, that means taking it to Jesus. His plan, not mine. Even when mine feels safer or smarter or more comfortable.
Because Peter's mistake wasn't caring too much. It was thinking his version of love knew better than the One he was loving.
You ever catch yourself doing that? Holding so tight to what you think should happen that you almost miss what's actually supposed to happen?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one. 🙏
All the best,
Bill
GOD BLESS YOU SIR 🫵🏻🫡

Clint Eastwood Said Something About Getting Old That Stopped Me Cold.
Aging is not gentle.
You are still here. Still present. Still watching the world move. But the body that carried you through everything - the wars, the work, the wildness of youth - begins to ask for more than you can give it. Joints that never complained now speak up in the morning. Eyes that once took in everything now flinch at the light. Breathing, which never required a single thought, starts needing little pauses.
But none of that is the hardest part.
The hardest part is the quiet.
At a certain age, you reach for the phone and remember there is no one left to call.
The people who knew you when you were young - who remembered the same summers, the same streets, the same faces
- are gone. One by one, then all at once, until the memories you carry have no one left to share them with.
So you tell the stories anyway.
To whoever will listen. With a little more color than perhaps the truth deserves. With a touch of pride you've earned and a grief you don't always name. You know the person across from you wasn't there. You know they can't quite feel it the way you do.
But you tell them. Because the telling is the holding on.
Those stories are not just memories. They are the proof that a life was lived. That people were loved. That things mattered.
And if no one asks for them - you offer them anyway, quietly, like setting something down on a table and hoping someone picks it up.
Old age is not simply what happens to a face or a body.
It is memory looking for a place to rest.
And what an older person needs - more than advice, more than solutions, more than someone telling them how to feel - is simply someone willing to sit down, be still, and listen.
Not to fix anything.
Just to be there.
That is the whole gift. And it costs nothing.

This man stepped in when he noticed something suspicious happening to a woman and her two kids at Walmart.
While he was there picking up money, he saw a man standing off to the side recording a woman and her children. Instead of ignoring it, he approached her, let her know what was happening, walked with her through the store, and even escorted her and her kids safely to their van.
He’s now sharing the story as a reminder for women to stay aware of their surroundings, especially when shopping alone.
What would you do if you saw something like this happening?
A small bottle of meat rub once sold for several hundred dollars at auction.
And nobody thought they were overpaying.
Stay with me here.
My brother and I just drove out to a little community called Armona in Kings County, California. We're visiting family, and there was one stop we had to make.
Raven's Meat Locker.
They make this rub called Raven's Rub, and if you know... you know.
For years, the Future Farmers chapter at the high school would throw their annual picnic. Tons of meat cooked with this rub. The smell alone could pull you in from a mile away.
But here's the part I love.
At the auction they'd hold, small bottles of Raven's Rub would go up for bid. And my friends... oh man, they'd get into full-on bidding wars. Laughing, hollering, driving the price up on purpose.
A tiny bottle going for two, three hundred dollars sometimes.
Why?
Because every dollar went straight to helping kids. That money supplemented the prices those kids got when their animals sold at the Fresno County Fair.
Nobody was buying rub. They were investing in the next generation.
That little community understood something that I think a lot of us forget. When people come together around something they believe in, the giving doesn't feel like sacrifice. It feels like fun.
Here's what I've noticed...
That same spirit exists in the HBA community I've been part of for about five years now. Through Feed My Starving Children, this community helps feed kids who are hungry. Different setting, same heart.
Community isn't just about what you get. It's about what flows through you to someone who needs it.
Whether it's a bottle of rub at a country auction or a meal for a child across the world, the principle is the same.
People helping people helping kids.
That never gets old.
Have you ever been part of something like that, where the giving was just as good as the getting? I'd love to hear about it. 👇
All the best,
Bill
Something happened on our company traffic and convesion video call this morning that I need to share with you.
People were asked to share how our new Traffic Maestro tool has helped them in their business. One by one many started sharing how they viewed the new tool and their thoughts.
And I wasn't ready for what I heard.
Each person talked about how this tool actually provided an understanding of themselves and the assistance in creating the essential content they need to move their business forward and drive traffic to themselves each day. This gives people what they are exactly looking for... Not guessing. Not throwing spaghetti at the wall. Actually knowing.
Another person shared that the onboarding process alone taught her things about herself that she had stopped focusing on and how the process drew her back and recharged her passion as she moved through and created her information for the tool.
Then the comments section lit up.
Person after person saying things like "I finally feel like I know what to say" and "leads are actually coming to ME now."
Stay with me here.
See, most of us were taught to chase people. Bug your friends. Post and pray. Hope somebody, anybody, raises their hand.
But that's not marketing. That's just... noise.
What I watched happen on that call was different. These were people who'd found a way to create content so specific, so dialed in to their audience's real desires and real struggles, that the right people started showing up. Consistently. Five or more leads a day in some cases, and these aren't random clicks. These are people actively seeking help.
YOUR help.
That's what happens when you stop trying to talk to everyone and start speaking directly to someone.
The tool does the heavy lifting. But the transformation? That's yours.
Here's what I know to be true after years of doing this...
When the right system meets the right person who's willing to do the work, everything shifts. Not overnight hype. Real, sustainable momentum.
If you're building a home business, or you're in network marketing or affiliate marketing, and you're tired of feeling invisible online, I think this might matter to you.
Drop me a message and just say "Maestro" and share how you need help getting traffic... I will be happy to share specifically how this system my help you... No pressure. Just a conversation. 🙌
Something occurred to me this weekend while thinking about my daughter, Erin, sitting down at a piano bench next to her 10-year-old son, Jack.
Let me back up.
Erin took piano lessons for about seven years when she was a kid. She also played the saxophone, dabbled with the guitar. She worked at it and got pretty good.
Then life happened.
You know how it goes. Adulthood shows up and suddenly the things you once practiced every day just... stop.
But this summer, Erin decided to pick piano back up. And here's the part that got me.
She's not just taking lessons again.
She's taking them WITH Jack.
Side by side on that bench. Learning together. Erin is a teacher by profession, and she's doing what great teachers do. She's modeling it. She's nurturing him through the frustration, the wrong notes, the "I don't want to practice today" moments.
She's not standing behind him saying "go play piano."
She's sitting beside him saying "let's play piano."
And I thought... I know exactly where she learned that.
My dad was a farmer. And when it came time for my brother and me to learn, Dad didn't hand us a manual and walk away.
He worked right alongside us.
Every task. Every early morning. He taught and mentored us by doing the work WITH us, not just telling us about it.
That stuck with me for life.
Here's what I've noticed in business (and honestly, in everything worth doing):
The best mentors don't just point the way. They walk the road with you for a while.
And persistence in that process leads to something beautiful.
Talent matters, sure. But talent without consistent effort and guidance? It fades. Just like Erin's piano did for those years when life got busy.
Skill gets developed through showing up, doing the reps, and having someone beside you who's already been through the hard part and is willing to sit on that bench with you anyway.
Whether it's piano lessons, farming, or building a business from home... the principle is the same.
Find someone who will work alongside you. Not just cheer from the sidelines.
And if you're further along than someone else? Be that person for them.
Sit down on the bench. 🎹
What's something a mentor (or parent, or friend) modeled for you that changed how you approach your work? I'd love to hear it.

I moved from California to Illinois to be closer to my grandson. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about my priorities.
Here's the short version of who I am.
I farmed for years. My brother and I ran a commercial ag-spraying business where a handshake still meant something. Lost crops to weather. Lost money in business. Kept going.
Then I switched careers and started teaching at-risk teenagers in a juvenile justice campus. Those kids didn't trust anyone. They'd been let down too many times. So I learned fast: say what you mean, do what you say, every single time. No exceptions.
I've been married 53 years to my high school girlfriend. We have a daughter, one grandson who gets way too much of my attention, and exchange students from Spain who became family. I'm a cancer survivor (22 years and counting). A follower of Jesus. A guy who doodles geometric ink drawings and BBQs at church events.
I'm also a published author. I was the first teacher Erin Gruwell asked to go through Freedom Writer Training back in 2006. That led to books, including TEACHING HOPE.
I've failed plenty. But I'm still here, still trying, still learning.
That's who you're dealing with. Feel free to reach out or leave me a comment below.
Thanks for reading and hope you have an awesome day!

PS: What's something you failed at that actually taught you the most?
Five years ago, I got an email about something called the 30-Minute Workday. I almost didn't open it. But something told me to click, and honestly, that one small decision changed the direction of my retirement.
See, I was heading into retirement and I knew one thing for sure. I did not want to sit around watching television all day waiting to die. I just couldn't picture that being my life. I needed something to do. Something that would keep my mind sharp, keep me moving forward, and maybe even make some money along the way.
So when I found this, I was intrigued. The products were interesting. The people were genuine. And the two guys leading it had something I don't see very often anymore. Real passion and real integrity. That's what caught my attention more than anything. They make everything they do special, and you can feel it.
That was about five years ago. I never stopped. Just kept moving forward.
And here I am, starting a new chapter of this journey. I'm excited. I'm fired up. I'm also a little skeptical, if I'm being honest. But I'm here. I've been here. And I want to keep learning new things, meeting new people, and making some sales along the way.
This whole thing has been an answer to a prayer, truly. Something meaningful to do in retirement that keeps me engaged and growing instead of just sitting still.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you might be seeing some different posts from me as I'm sharing what I'm learning.
Just know that my account has not been hacked. It is me. I'm just going on a new journey, and look forward to sharing what I discover in the hopes that it can maybe help others along the way.
And don't worry, I won't be pitching you or trying to get you to join anything.
That's one of the things I really like about this is they teach you to help the people who want the help and only show those who want to see. It's not even low pressure; it's no pressure, and I love that. I really couldn't see myself doing it any other way.
This business model does look like it could be pretty lucrative.
It's also quite unique. I've never seen anything like it.
Feel free to reach out if you want some info.
Regardless, thanks for reading & hope you have an awesome day.
