@lukebabs12 My sincere condolences, @lukebabs12. Your Dad and gonway back to when he cut his teeth at the Cape Cod Times. He was just simply a wonderful guy and I treasured his friendship. My thoughts are with your family.
@RichLernerGC This is crushing. Babs was the best. He got his start @capecodtimes helping with coverage of @OfficialCCBL. How good was he? He even did a story for us figure skating before he became giant in golf journalism. Until we meet again at a 19th hole, fairways and greens @JeffBabz62

Some very sad news. Willie Mays has died. Just about a year ago, July 24, 2023, I wrote about my favorite baseball player ever for my old newspaper, the Cape Cod Times.
Wondrous Willie Mays, and a lifetime of memories https://t.co/uBwbwUgEQ3 via @capecodtimes
I retired from the Cape Cod Times 7 years ago and only contribute occasionally nowadays, so it's always enjoyable to be back in the pages where I spent so much of my life.
