Very excited to have our #biomaterials preprint out, made possible through the hard work of our amazing team @Caliari_Lab@cbhighley and Audrey Hansrisuk
My promotion to Associate Professor w/tenure is official today! I’m so grateful for the amazing students and colleagues who enable our work. I’m also very lucky to have the support of my wonderful family and friends on this journey. I’m looking forward to the next chapter at UVA!
Check out @BiomaterialsBev’s paper with Dr. Monique Vaughan on the development of a new animal model for surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse! And stay tuned for future work on how hydrogels can be deployed in this model to augment repair! https://t.co/dZxM96H4kz
One of my friends, herself an OB/GYN in Texas (her husband is also an OB/GYN) found out last week at her anatomy ultrasound that her baby had anencephaly, exactly as depicted in this ad.
They got on a plane and flew to Pennsylvania this week for her abortion.
@fibrojennasis is speaking tomorrow at 5:18 in room 104 on her work using stiffening hydrogels to study lung fibroblast chromatin organization. Finally, @BiomaterialsBev is sharing her work on injectable fibrous gels for treating pelvic organ prolapse on Thursday (209, 2 pm).
A belated congrats to DOCTOR @helloericahui, our 1st PhD graduate! It’s impossible to sum up Erica’s impact in a tweet so I’ll just say I hope every new PI is lucky enough to have such an amazing first student. I can’t wait to watch her continued success in her new job at GSK!
