These are the exact same people who made “countering hate” their entire identity.
They were the first to plant “Hate Has No Place Here” signs on their lawns.
They insist “hate speech isn’t free speech.”
They proudly fund groups like Hope Not Hate and Stop AAPI Hate
They still chant “Love Trumps Hate” like it’s scripture.
Yet here they are, in the pages of The Globe and Mail, publishing a guide on “how to properly hate” Elon Musk for the crime of building SpaceX into a company that could make him the world’s first trillionaire.
Proof positive that their “anti-hate” crusade was never about hate.
They are, in reality, full of hate. It was always about who they’re allowed to hate
The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) has over 2,000 employees.
Top 5 managers, make more than $5 million per year.
They have never beaten the market.
Nevada has 1 guy. Who invests in ETFs.
Does nothing. All day.
And he outperforms the CPP.
Consistently.
For further context, if CPP invested in QQQ, for the last 10 years, instead of $800 billion in assets, we would have $2.4 Trillion.
VOO would put it at $1.6 trillion.
Lesson: The government will never outperform the market.
So don’t think the Sovereign Debt Fund will be any different.
Why the f*ck are they here? Why is Canada such a hot bed for terrorism and why is our government focused on chasing legal gun owners and not these guys?
Growing up in the 80s in SK, we had the gas and electrical meters outside, and you self reported the water meter. I can't remember if someone came to actually verify the water from time to time.
I now live in a house from the 60s that definitely had the gas meter inside, so I'm guessing someone would walk in to read that.
What I found fascinating is that in the 50s my father's milkman was still delivering by horse carriage.
I was addicted to meth and heroin for the first several years of my adult life. I am grateful every day that I was caught and arrested in a state like Montana that was tough on crime, and didn't just supply me with accoutrements and leave me on the street to die a slow death like they do here in California.
My charge was felony possession. I spent 90 days in jail detoxing because I couldn't afford to pay bail. Thank God for that. When I was let out I was forced to wear a drug patch and report for random supervised urine tests, or risk going back to jail. I was put on the strictest probation, and forced into an outpatient treatment program. I was able to go to the shelter, which required sobriety and an honest effort to better my life. The very real threat of going to prison to serve my full sentence if I screwed again motivated me to stay clean.
Because of tough love policies, I am alive today. What people are doing here in California, Oregon and Washington is NOT compassion, it's toxic empathy, and it's manslaughter. Decriminalization only serves to remove ANY hope of the addict ever getting sober. I couldn't get sober on my own, I tried for years, without being forced to detox in jail I'd probably be dead today. Part of me wonders if that's the point?
9 years sober as of January 31st.
I've had gout a couple of times. First time I had no idea what it was and thought some minor slip on ice must have been an ankle sprain that I didn't appreciate at the time. The only good news is that once I had it diagnosed, good meds, pain killers, and anti-inflammatories had me back to normal in 24 hours. And, yeah, I have a high pain tolerance and that was the worst sustained pain that I've ever felt.
The CBC "prank show" deception scandal is getting so much worse.
The producers (operating under fake identities/fake company names with fake websites) told a number of RCMP veterans - people who dedicated their lives to serving on the frontlines - that they were invited to film for a show called "Life After Service." A ceremony to thank them for their service would follow, and they were told dignitaries would be present. This would take place at the CBC Vancouver studio. They were told to come in uniform.
When the RCMP vets arrived at the CBC Vancouver studio on March 25th and 26th, the "pranksters" took their phones away, which they claimed was CBC Vancouver studio policy. The former RCMP officers were also placed in front of an audience of what they were told were about two dozen "journalists." And it was sprung on them that this was a "live broadcast", with "media availability" afterwards!
Then the producers switched up the whole session to be not about life after service, but the historical wrongs committed by the RCMP against indigenous peoples - to berate these vets for being part of the RCMP.
There is so much more but I am hoping the individuals targeted in this elaborate scheme will be able to share their stories themselves.
Seriously, what even sounds remotely funny or silly about this concept? It is just sick and cruel
@CBCNews and @APTNNews... what are you thinking?
Signal, the non-profit, encrypted-messaging app, just warned, it would rather leave Canada than comply with Bill C-22.
Here’s what Bill C-22 actually does:
✅ Forces tech companies to build surveillance backdoors into their systems
✅ Mandates that every cell phone in Canada be trackable
✅ Allows the Minister of Public Safety to issue SECRET orders to turn your Amazon Alexa into a listening device
✅ Requires metadata retention for up to one year: who you called, when, and where you were
No comparable Western nation has adopted surveillance powers this broad.
Meta called it conscripting private companies into “the government’s surveillance apparatus.”
The US wrote directly to the minister warning it compromises American citizens’ privacy.
A lawyer told committee: “As written, the minister could issue a secret order to turn your smart TV into a listening device.”
Imagine: this is the same government that froze bank accounts without a court order.
The same government that turned off committee cameras.
The same government with 638 unresolved wrongdoing complaints.
Now wants inside your phone.
The mayor of Charlotte, NC asks that we not post about this lady murdered on a Charlotte train by a repeat offender with 14 prior arrests!
I say in Iryna’s memory please share and make this go viral! A repeat offender with 14 prior arrests should not be roaming the streets of ANY city! They should be locked up!! Epic failure in the justice system!
