Friday's Field Day started with a pep assembly where our Senior Economics students presented their hot dog companies to the school and everyone got excited about the day. 😄

Last week, our newest NJHS members were inducted into Bloomfield's chapter, marking the 25th year of NJHS at BCS. They embody our BCS values and represent our District with pride.

🎶 M/HS Spring Concert 🎶

We celebrated spring with our MS band & chorus, and HS band & chorus. As a special treat, the Middle & High School choruses joined together to sing The Beatles' "Blackbird." The HS chorus also performed a nine-minute medley from Hamilton.

👏 CONGRATULATIONS, AVERY! 👏
Avery Newstead competed at the NYC Bound Competition through the RBTL Stars of Tomorrow on Thursday. She was one of 40 students selected from regional high school musical productions this spring. We are so proud of Avery's accomplishment!

Our Environmental Sciences class explored a local wetland ecosystem at Muller Field Station through hands-on water quality testing and macroinvertebrate sampling. Students also learned about invasive species, human impacts, and ways to protect these important habitats!

This morning, 95 Elementary students rode their bikes for BES's 4th annual Bike to School Day. Thanks to Mrs. Geiger for organizing such a fun event and for everyone who came this morning! Happy Friday, Bloomfield! 💙🤍

Last week, our 2nd graders visited Tinker Nature Park to learn about local ecology by walking the trails and learning about honeybee biology. They got up close to animals they hadn't seen before and everyone came away with more knowledge about our ecosystem. 🐝🌲🌞

🦎 The ZooMobile Visits BCS! 🐍
Our UPK class was visited by the ZooMobile to learn about how animals use their senses. The animals included an African millipede (touch), bearded dragon (sight), Madagascar tree boa (smell), and mini three-banded armadillo (hearing).

Several seniors got to visit Artisan Works in Rochester last week where they saw artwork, climbed into a classic car, and got a behind-the-scenes tour of areas not usually open to the public. It was a fun & inspiring day!

🎣 BCS Fishing Club Helps with Trout Release 🌎

BCS students visited the historic Caledonia Fish Hatchery and released thousands of trout into Oatka Creek for Earth Day. A hands-on way to support conservation, learn about ecosystems, and make a real impact!

Applied Math in Action 🧮🏗️

Students in our Applied Math class took a field trip to Lakelands Concrete. They learned how precast concrete forms are made, how concrete is poured, how finished pieces are transported, and the roles involved at each step. 🚚
