Donald Trump must be convicted and removed from office.
Because he will always choose his own personal interest over our national interest.
Because in America, right matters. Truth matters.
If not, no Constitution can protect us.
If not, we are lost.
NEWSNATION: Trump has never had any evidence of rigged elections. Do you side with him when he speaks about it?
RON JOHNSON: There is so much evidence of irregularities in the 2020 election, but all you do is say 'there's no evidence' -- there are all kinds of irregularities
NN: There's never been anything proven at scale
JOHNSON: People who do things cover it up
NN: But why not present the evidence?
Trump said something outside a press gaggle that I don’t think enough people caught.
A reporter called him out on the corruption. He gave three responses.
1. I have the right to do it.
2. He’s not stealing that much. A billion or two billion dollars. Not that much money. Classic Trump.
3. People don’t care.
That’s the permission structure. Our collective apathy is what they’re using to justify everything happening in Washington right now.
Please stand up and prove him wrong.
US ATTORNEY ESSAYLI: Is there enough fraud to sway an election? We don't know
CUOMO: No
ESSAYLI: You can't say 'no.' You haven't done an investigation
CUOMO: You are in the business of knowing! You're pointing at one case. I've covered elections for 30 years. You know how many cases of widespread fraud I covered? One. And it was the Trump administration
Doesn’t anyone notice that they only cry “voter fraud” and claim the system is rigged…when Republicans lose?
And why has there never been an allegation of widespread systemic fraud that can withstand the rigor of the rules of evidence in a court of law?
OMG -- Fox News carries Raskin's opening statement during a hearing where he highlights the fraud that was Trump University and contrasts it with the SPLC
I feel strongly about this: journalists have an ethical responsibility to call these election lies what they are. We just stop hiding behind the euphemistic “without proof.” Or democracy is fragile and under assault. Patrician journalistic niceties serve no one is a moment of crisis, not even journalism. We are called to reveal and convey truth. It starts with every interaction. It starts in the moment. It starts to their faces. It feels good to be free to do what I think is right.
