@DevlinHodges10 came to us with a simple ask:

A khaki short that didn't feel stiff or stuffy. Something sharp enough for dress shoes, relaxed enough for sneakers, and versatile enough to go from work straight to the cookout.

So we built exactly that.

His custom pair features our light gray performance fabric, a 7" inseam, and green stitching for a subtle personal touch. Designed for the way he lives, and made to fit him perfectly.

As guests of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am back in 2023, we had the opportunity to fit each participant for a pair of Blue Delta Jeans. Our team met hundreds of new clients at that tournament, but for Noah Richardson, there was one guy that stood out. Noah struck up a conversation with a fellow golf enthusiast during the fitting process, answering detailed questions about the design process and personal patterns, thread theories and breaking in raw denim, performance fabrics on the golf course… they covered a lot of ground and exchanged contact info. Many months and several pairs of Blue Deltas later, they remained texting buddies. They shared which courses they’d played, when the next tournament would be, and where Blue Delta was headed to next so that paths might cross. Noah had yet to ask his friend what he did for a living, off the golf course, so he did what most would do - a quick Google search - and there he was. The most decorated chef in the United States, holding a total of seven Michelin stars across three restaurants, Chef Thomas Keller remains the only American chef to hold two simultaneous three-star ratings, and has been recognized internationally for the successes of The French Laundry, Per Se, and Bouchon. Noah wasn’t all that surprised to learn of Thomas’s line of work, seeing how his personality mimics many of the reasons his restaurants are widely revered. Recently, Blue Delta was invited by Chef Thomas Keller for an evening at The French Laundry in Yountville, California. The experience was unforgettable, marked by meticulous detailing from the wooden clothespins holding your napkins to the checks arriving on laundry tags as an homage to the building’s history. The hospitality was exceptional and unmatched, with an attentive and unpretentious staff that erased the intimidation associated with fine French dining. The menu, which changes daily, provides a perfectly paced progression of flavors, and it is a rule that no single ingredient is ever repeated in the same meal. At the end of the evening, we were gifted a personalized copy of the menu, along with a detailed booklet listing all the farmers and purveyors who supplied the food. The entire experience was carefully curated and it’s obvious why an evening at The French Laundry is a top bucket-list item for so many. Chef Thomas Keller has created an immersive celebration of craftsmanship, hospitality, and culinary storytelling, and we’re honored to have him in the Blue Delta family!

As we get closer to the USA’s 250th birthday, we’ve been thinking about what it means to make something here at home.

Every pair of Blue Deltas starts and finishes in Tupelo, Mississippi. Measured one-on-one, cut by hand, sewn by hand, and built by people who take pride in their work. It’s a small way of carrying forward a tradition that’s been part of the United States since the beginning: making things with your hands and standing behind your work.

In a world where just about everything is made somewhere else, we’re proud to keep doing things the old-fashioned way.
