Jeff Bezos was born in Alberquerque to a 17 year old high school mom who divorced his alcoholic dad before Jeff was 2. He worked at McDonald's before his grades earned his way into Princeton. He started Amazon in a garage with a 245k investment from his parents.
That's reality.
Instead of watching an hour of Netflix, watch this 1 hour Yale lecture. It will teach you more about options trading and the exact models hedge funds use than most people learn in their entire careers on Wall Street.

CNBC Squawk Box has become unwatchable. @JoeSquawk has made the show his permanent speaker’s box @SquawkCNBC . Bloomberg a good alternative. No wonder Comcast is jettisoning the show by spinning it off via Versant IPO. Sell.

🚨 JUST IN: Scott Jennings NUKES Democrats who are crying 'selective prosecution' after New York AG Letitia James was indicted on bank fraud
"Her entire CAREER is built on the selective prosecution of one man!"
"It's just not gonna fly to 'boo-hoo' over 'selective prosecutions' on THIS particular person who promised in her campaigns, who went after [Trump] on things that had NO business, no business ever happening if not but for the man's last name being TRUMP."
"Give me a BREAK." @ScottJenningsKY 🔥
16 August 1944 | A transport of some 2,500 Greek Jews deported from Rhodes Island arrived at #Auschwitz. After the selection 346 men & 254 women were registered in the camp. The remaining people were murdered immediately in gas chambers.
In the #GospelOfTheDay (cf. Lk 12:32-48) Jesus urges us not to keep the gifts God has given us for ourselves, but to use them generously for the good of others, especially those who need our help most.
When anarchist Mikhail Bakunin proposed that Marxists should try not beating people with sticks, they responded in typical Marxist fashion by kicking him out.
Communists simply aren't interested in any ideology that doesn't let them beat people with sticks.
Our babies are depending on us!” screams teachers' union president Becky Pringle.
“They’re not your kids, Becky. They're the parents’ children,” says @DeangelisCorey.
His theory: Becky’s just worried about her gravy train.
She does make $495,000 dollars a year:
Today, rescuers have been working in more than 30 Ukrainian cities and villages following Russia’s massive strike. Wherever necessary, work continues – our emergency services are on the ground, providing assistance and supporting people. Thank you.
Nearly 300 attack drones were launched by Russians overnight, most of them Shaheds. In addition, almost 70 missiles of various types were fired, including ballistic ones. The targets were Kyiv and the region, as well as Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions. These were deliberate strikes on ordinary cities. Ordinary residential buildings were destroyed and damaged. In Kyiv, dormitories of the university's history department were hit. There were also strikes on enterprises. Tragically, people were killed, including children. My condolences.
Each such terrorist Russian strike is a sufficient reason for new sanctions against Russia. Russia is dragging out this war and continues to kill every day. The world may go on a weekend break, but the war continues, regardless of weekends and weekdays. This cannot be ignored. Silence of America, silence of others around the world only encourage Putin.
Without truly strong pressure on the Russian leadership, this brutality cannot be stopped. Sanctions will certainly help. Determination matters now – the determination of the United States, of European countries, and of all those around the world who seek peace. The world knows all the weaknesses of the Russian economy. The war can be stopped, but only through the necessary force of pressure on Russia. Putin must be forced to think not about launching missiles, but about ending the war.
When he won his Nobel prize, Al Gore said the Arctic summer may be ice-free by 2014.
Later he said it was LIKELY by 2016.
Those dates came and went. There's still LOTS of ice.
Turns out alarmists' predictions are alarmist.
But they grab headlines.
