What a treat to visit the library @BobcatChatTMS two days in a row! Yesterday was Open Mic Slam Poetry Jam. Today, we explored summer reading programs from @IrvingLibrary and snagged FREE books! Big shout out to our lovely librarian Ms. Darden for making it all happen.

A powerful read aloud of Stars of the Night brought history to life as students explored WWII & the Holocaust through maps, symbols, & ethical questions. With real 🌎connections & critical thinking, the lesson deepened their understanding & extended the 8th grade Holocaust unit!
