Hoy es el día mundial para promover la concienciación sobre la accesibilidad web (@gbla11yday), y para celebrarlo me gustaría compartir algo que nosotros, los desarrolladores, solemos olvidar cuando creamos productos digitales.
#GAAD#Accesibilidad#a11d#a11y
Quick note to remind everyone that tomorrow is the first day of axe-con 2026, a free #a11y conf organized by @dequesystems . A fantastic opportunity to dive into topics of #accessibility and #InclusiveDesign. Want to learn more?, join at https://t.co/xTUmUlIUyt #axecon#a11d
Saying #accessibility is an "enhancement" for web or mobile content is like saying flour enhances a cake. Accessibility is essential, a key ingredient that ensures web and mobile content is usable for everyone. #a11y#a11d
Today I saw a piece of code that reminded me that design systems should be "accessibility ready" (they are not accessible per se). It's crucial to include accessibility from the start. It ensures everyone can enjoy seamless experiences. #accessibility#a11y#a11d
We recommend you download and try out Lingvano. They have over 4M users, a great rating, and the Expo community stamp of approval:

✌️We'll spend the next few days highlighting and congratulating the winners of the Expo Awards.
And we'll begin with the winner chosen by the community across polls on 𝕏, @LinkedIn, and @discord: Lingvano
You can find a link to the app below ↓. Here are a few technical details we liked about it:
♢ expo-router for a stable navigation, and providing a profound deep linking logic
♢ Custom native code solutions for their AI fingerspelling recognition trainer (currently in beta) using TurboModules
♢ EAS Update for high-priority OTA rollouts for critical fixes and features
♢ EAS build lifecycle hooks to run Maestro E2E testing suites and automatically report errors right into their task management tool
♢ expo-sharing to let our learners proudly share their learning streak, achievements, and curiosities
If you have not done it yet, you can still vote for #Lingvano as Community Choice in the @expo app awards, a Viennese startup with an #a11y app to learn sign languages trying to break barriers and help people connect with Deaf family, friends, colleagues and neighbors #Deaf#a11d
One of my favourite apps to learn sign languages made it to the TOP 3 of the "Community's Choice" @expo app awards.
I can only ask for your vote for Lingvano to help them continue with their missing to break barriers and help Deaf people.

🏆 Time for the community to pick a winner!
These three apps are unique, powerful, and all super charming. Would love for everyone to place their votes so we can announce the "Community's Choice" app award winner tomorrow!

A couple of weeks ago I had a super nice conversation about accessibility with my colleague Jules Pabst for her new podcast "IT Innovation" and it's now live in @Spotify ;)

The June @ReactVienna meetup was fantastic last night!
Big thanks to @nikgraf for the invitation — I had a great time and would love to come back.
Vienna is such a beautiful city! I wish I had more time to explore, so maybe next time I’ll return with my family for a weekend of sightseeing.
It was also great to finally meet @AHeissenberger in person — a contributor to @lazarv/react-server. It was an absolute pleasure!
And hats off to the other speakers for their fantastic talks: @bolonio, @coazzolielena, and Niklas Machacek. See you all next time!
I will be talking about automating JSDoc documentation generation with @github actions at the next @ReactVienna@Meetup on 3rd June hosted by @kununu. I'm really really happy to share stage with @coazzolielena and Niklas M :)
