The film portrays the life of Sinn Sisamouth, a renowned Cambodian singer who chose music over a medical career and whose enduring voice continues to inspire Cambodians despite his believed death under the Khmer Rouge.

Bophana Center warmly invites the public to visit its new exhibition, on view from February 6 to March 31, 2026, featuring the remarkable painting “Am I Lost?” by Cambodian artist Chea Sereyroth.
Opening Date: February 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM
Bophana Center thanks Mr. François Aveline for donating the documentary Aveline Family Film (1971–1974), filmed by his father, Jacques Aveline, in Cambodia. The Center will preserve the film and make it available for public viewing at the Center in the near future.
This film report captures Phnom Penh before its revitalization as a depopulated city with outdated infrastructure. The film displays a traumatized populace seeking to unite after the departure of the Khmer Rouge.
