The ‘crazy’ part of this is when I first proposed in late 2004 the yet to be named original 13 Prime character (with Simon Furman’s blessing) the initial idea was that the center part was the Prime, the limbs, drones. Forest Lee reworked it to the split in to 5 parts story. ->

This past weekend at BotCon we celebrated the Transformers 40th/30th/25th milestones. Hasbro is in full TFTM Apology tour mode with various events next week at SDCC. But today we celebrate the 20th anniversary of arguably the best riff on Transformers media ever. Via Randall Ng and Dr. Smoov, check out the now classic featurette - The Rude Awakening of Optimus Prime. Original air date July 17th, 2006.
