As I prepare for my 24th infusion of chemo next week, delighted to hear that bowel cancer screening will be available at age 50 in England. About time. It will save lives and hopefully mean fewer patients have to go through the kind of treatment I’ve had.
A big thank you to our patrons Charlotte Riley and Tom Hardy for supporting our brand launch last week. Here they are sporting our beautiful new t-shirts and you can also see the fantastic Charlotte in our launch video.
“How long do I have left?” I so bluntly asked, however that sort of question in the cancer world is a bit like “how long is a piece of string”. No one really knows. https://t.co/M2YR8G939a
"Bowel Cancer UK works hard to raise awareness to that ensures people know they are “never too young” to have bowel cancer and so that others won’t have to endure the treatment I do." @bowelbabe#Never2Young
#InTheNews The researchers found that, overall, women faced a 27% increase of developing any form of cancer if they had diabetes, while men also faced a 19% increased risk – a 6% difference. https://t.co/rqaNvWV32c
Our #BowelScreening team have been raising awareness of the importance bowel screening. @bowelcancer is very treatable but the earlier it is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat. People whose cancer is diagnosed at an early stage have a much higher chance of successful treatment
"We are a group of four who came together in support of our friend and team captain Robin, who was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in 2016. To help with his recovery we agreed to set ourselves a challenge" https://t.co/OFllMHc8VU
"At that time, I was inundated with messages from people and one of the most important was from a stranger. @DeborahAlsina had seen our story in the press and got in contact; she is the CEO of @bowelcanceruk and all round human angel." https://t.co/yBg1FzGhp4
In case you missed it, last week we unveiled our new brand. We worked with @theteam, to create a modern and vibrant visual identity, which consists of a new logo, font, tone of voice, colour palette and a refreshed website as well as a new name & strapline https://t.co/4mRV4LoN8k
