It's Rail Safety Week! 🚊⚠️

As Rail Safety Week comes to an end, we'd like to thank everyone who has followed along as we’ve shared some simple tips to help keep everyone safe around trams.
✅ Cross safely using designated crossings
✅ Stay alert and avoid distractions such as mobile phones and headphones
✅ Hold on tight or take a seat when travelling onboard
✅ Use designated spaces safely for wheelchairs and pushchairs
✅ Take extra care when cycling near tram tracks

By following these simple steps, we can all help make the tramway a safer place for passengers, pedestrians and cyclists.

✅ Using the designated areas
✅ Applying the break both while waiting for the tram and on board
✅ Not blocking doorways

Today’s top tip is about remaining safe onboard a tram, as they can change speed or come to a stop quite suddenly.

Once you board the tram make sure to:
✅ Find a seat if available
✅ If standing hold on tight to a handrail

If you're travelling to Fleetwood today, our FREE tram replacement shuttle bus is running between Fisherman’s Walk and Fleetwood Market from 10am–3:15pm. This means you can still access Fleetwood's shops, market and key locations while tram services are disrupted 🚍🙌

Running every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in partnership with Wyre Council.

We're proud to be working alongside Wyre Council to support Fleetwood Market following the disruption to tram services on Lord Street.

From today, we'll be operating a free 'tram replacement' shuttle bus between Fisherman's Walk and Fleetwood Market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, helping people continue to access the town centre and market while tram services are affected.
