@AyeFunk95@GuhleSzn@LeafsUpdates21 I’ll tell you now, being a fan of the capitals and having Hershey be so good for so long, it doesn’t really matter. Tons of 24/25 year olds that are career ahlers. I wouldn’t overthink them.
Only ones that make the jump are young prospects (under 23).
@habsnation51@NHLRumourReport@_JordanDecker He took a pay cut to return to his hometown. In doing so, he got a NTC because he truly wanted to be in Detroit.
You can’t blame a player for wanting to win a cup in his hometown, and management failed to provide a playoff team.
@HockeySnobElite@TBoneStallone69 Imagine you are Larkin. You take a pay cut to go to your dream job. You say you’ll work 8 years because you are so proud of your company. They don’t bring in great employees and now you are stuck doing multiple jobs at once and never feeling accomplished. Would you want to stay?
@HockeySnobElite@TBoneStallone69 You either rebuild or you don’t. But part of rebuilding is getting rid of your top 6 guys. And he’s one of them.
If you want to compete, good. BUT, feelings is how you bring in FAs. Players do care about how the management treats the players. Hockey isn’t just business.
@HockeySnobElite@TBoneStallone69 Just relive the rangers downfall and how the leadership group was treated (even when they had NMCs). Management was willing to waive them, just so they couldn’t go to their desired teams. Trying to force a player to fold to a trade of their liking. Toxic leadership ruins teams.
@HockeySnobElite@TBoneStallone69 It’s not a good look on the franchise to hold a player hostage after A) he came back to his hometown, B) took a pay cut under market value to make it work, and C) took captaincy.
This could directly influence FAs. Look at the rangers as a similar fate.
@Boriginal____ Yeah man, I’m a DC multi sport fan 😂 but, this was strictly talking fantasy. I had Terry and jd last season and it tanked my season. I’ll still probably take them this season. Httc
@YooperDeuces@NotLeafsNeedGod@sadupp@lousyleafs If Toronto didn’t get 1st overall, they’d be shopping the pick out as well. Knies isn’t worth 4OA.
Leafs should have taken this deal anyways, cowan looks legit with playing time, you have McKenna coming in, and you’d have zhoro, pickford, another first. Easiest retool.
@rilniwnw@checkDAscoreHO@AsiasAnalysis I had JJ for week 2-4 he was getting like 4 points a game and it was a .5 ppr league. Took me until week 4 to realize RBs were make or break. Went heavy and retooled on the fly.
@rilniwnw@checkDAscoreHO@AsiasAnalysis Ended the season with purdy (keeping him made me lose as i had the most points every week of the playoffs even tho i missed by one week)
Finished with purdy, Jennings stack carrying me, Lawrence at QB2, and Mac jones due to purdy injury 😂
@stefen_rosner In short, everything is easier when you have teammates. Wanting to live “solo” will only get you so far in any aspect in life, especially hockey. Those players in clutch time minutes need to rely on teammates to do their jobs, and vise versa.
@stefen_rosner Simple answer is “no.”
Just because someone has a water bottle, doesn’t mean there’s water in it. You gain more by being a good “teammate” by helping one another survive. The other person would let you get water when you find some, and you can store it for days.
