Some news--my first book is coming out from @RepeaterBooks in January! It's fiction, but drawing from the experiences of my early 20s as a young activist in the Sunflower Movement, Occupy Wall Street, the founding of @newbloommag, and beyond

I thought this was quite a useful read, a good counter argument to those who think that the ROC military during the KMT era is some model for today when it was rife with graft and rewarded sycophants to dictators rather than innovation or ability

1/ New from me: Chinese diplos scrambled 90 min before the Xi/Trump visit to the National Archives to stop a Taiwan-related treaty from being shown.

Sometimes I think about how Gundam Wing was precisely the wrong show to watch as a teenager and how that impacted the development of my psychology afterward
We always make fun of the journalists who speak to ONE taxi driver and cast their verdict on a society based on that sole conversation, but do we talk enough about the people who talk to a random genocidal taxi driver and decide to echo such views to a hilt based on that convo?
