We were proud to stand with legislative champions to urge voters to #RejectQuestion1 🗳️
Thank you @repkazarian, @RepKaren60, @JenStewartRI, @MackDistrict6 & @bridget4ri for speaking about the dangers of a constitutional convention and the threat it would be to our civil rights.
In RI, we've made so much progress to protect and expand access to reproductive health & rights, let's #RejectQuestion1 & continue to be a leader in reproductive freedom movement! Thank you to our legislative leaders & coalition partners in leading this fight to @RejectQuestion1
Thank you to all of our 2024 state legislators who voted to pass RI's comprehensive ban on toxic #PFAS. And a special thank you to those legislators who are also supporting Clean Water Action's 2024 Electoberfest! See you tomorrow!
Cedric Huntley was a convener of communities and a staunch advocate for peace, always leading with heart and compassion.
I was honored to pay tribute to Mr. Ced with @Rep_Magaziner on the House floor to ensure his legacy of kindness and service may continue to live on.
Vice President @KamalaHarris is a proud mom of two remarkable stepchildren—and so am I. @CaptMarkKelly and I were trying to have a baby through IVF before I was shot and that dream was stolen from us. To suggest we are somehow lesser is disgraceful.
Last night, Governor McKee vetoed the Nursing Home #WorkforceStandardsBoard Bill, offering no alternative plan to solve our nursing home crisis. Read our full statement below: https://t.co/2WMuMYH72T.
On May 9th, babies, young children, families, and advocates “strolled” from the Providence Marriott to the State House for #StrollingThunderRI 2024 to advocate for legislation and budget investments to ensure all Rhode Island kids and families have what they need to thrive.
We had a great turnout and were joined by elected leaders including @repgracediaz, Rep. Marvin Abney, @_mass_, @Val_Lawson, @AlanaDimario, @bridget4ri, and @SANDRISCANO just to name a few. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a special and fun day of advocacy!
This event was only possible because of the leadership of @RIAEYC -- thank you for your time and expertise in coordinating this incredible day!

Eliminating payday lending is one of our priorities.
Many states have already recognized the negative impact of predatory payday lending. Rhode Island is now the only state in New England that does not protect against them.
We are proud to submit testimony in support of today's hearing for S2141 in Senate Commerce Committee. https://t.co/5wV95WjTbX
Sen. @MelissaMurrayRI and Rep. @ArtBHandy, who have been pushing to improve the RI Works program for years, have introduced a bill to boost benefits and link them to the federal poverty limit so their value keeps pace with the changing economy.

Our Drop-In Center is very low on shelf-stable food, can you help? We try to keep ready-to-eat meals and nonperishable snacks on hand to offer to survivors at housing clinic, but currently our pantry is nearly bare. Our wish list is linked below💜

Tomorrow is the day to get some incredible delegates on the ballot to help support @JoeBiden
Please come down and grab a donut and sign papers! Ask questions, get involved in the process and be apart of Democracy in action!
Congresswoman @MaryPeltola brought such positive energy from Alaska to RI at @Rep_Magaziner’s Annual Women’s Luncheon yesterday! It was an honor to meet her and receive a Women Leading the Way award alongside @repkazarian, @PaigeCParks, @ljraiola and Sally Dowling!
Senator @bridget4ri joined other lawmakers today at @patspastured in East Greenwich for the Rhode Island Food Policy Council's 2023 Farm Visit. Participants learned about the state of Rhode Island's food system, the council's legislative priorities & the farming community in RI.
Today’s State House tour w/ Girl Scouts from NK left me wondering why the portrait of RI’s only woman governor, @GinaRaimondo, is relegated to the very end of a hallway. These future leaders should see @SecRaimondo in a prominent place. Hope it’s temporary!
