Yes, that is life, if you are in a friendship with people who do not reciprocate kind gestures you feel drained, if you disrespect your parents every time you speak to them they will feel drained. I give my father respect and in exchange he gives me wisdom. If your parent was an abusive drunk offering no wisdom you would avoid that interaction.
I hear you, what I am saying is, all relationships are transactional, but we don't call it transactional, it's called reciprocity, it used to be more subtle however now that women have started to demanded money upfront, men have started to ask "what do you bring to the table" these used to be assumed through gender roles, but now it's being distilled into "micro-transactions" or reciprocity
@Keagan2ozd@talker987 Explain lobola? Is it a transaction of families coming together and reciprocating the coming together of two individuals to form one family?
bro I'm not going to argue with you about the meaning of the word transaction. because if you look at the sub heading it says **relating to buying and selling**
Transaction has meaning beyond buying and selling.
Data servers transact
Human beings transact
All relationships are transactional
@Keagan2ozd@talker987 Exactly he is asking what she will reciprocate, all relationships are transaction we exchange, I buy the house you make a home. Transactional is not exclusive to financial transactions.
