AP scores part II. RESEARCH – 100% 3+ (first ever in any class for my students) 32% with a 3, 36% with a 4, and 32% with a 5. Global 3+ is 83%, with 26% with a 4, and 13% with a 5. Overall, happy with the scores.
2022 AP Score Update: MACROECONOMICS- 85% with 3+. Amazingly, 29% with a 4 and 43% with a 5. Globally, only 52% were 3+, with 20% scoring a 4 and 16% scoring a 5.
AP Research scores(1st year teaching) were good. 95.5% pass rate compared to 72.5% global. 18.5% 5s (double global) and 48% 4s. One of the 5s will be published next month.
Time for my yearly AP update. Overall AP Macro pass rate is down at 71.6%. Still a pretty good rate of 5s (19%) and 4s (32%). Global pass rate went up to 63.2%. Lower rate partly due to a different exam this year and students not having class for 9 weeks.
I just found out that one of my AP Research students will be published this summer by a peer reviewed journal! Pretty amazing for this student, and surprising for me in my 1st year of the class.

AP Macroeconomics multiple-choice questions: students generally scored very well on the questions about economic growth, and least well (although still quite solidly) on questions about the financial sector.
A significant number of AP Macroeconomics students triumphed on FRQ3 (measurement of economic performance): ~25% of student earned all 5/5 points possible, and another ~25% of students earned 4/5 points possible on it: https://t.co/Z4Qww8NHGP
AP Macroeconomics students who are earning a 3 are typically getting at 6+ of the 10 points possible on FRQ 1 (stabilization policies in open economies); those earning a 5 are generally getting 8+ of the 10 points possible on this question: https://t.co/ThgieNhWSN
