June is #Pride Month! Dr. Sara Josephine Baker, the first director of NY’s Bureau of Child Hygiene and first woman to earn a Ph.D in Public Health, focused her work on reducing infant mortality in NY. She and her partner Ida Wylie lived together until Dr. Baker’s death in 1945.
