@NBN_Australia My provider has been excellent, it’s the nbn techs not meeting their obligations that is causing the problem, and no contingency planning for what appears to be a well known issue - where are the backup appointment slots for when these things occur?
.@NBN_Australia Two cancellations for appointments for fibre upgrades in a month, and no option for an alternative for another month. Not acceptable, and both times cancellations on the day.
@NBN_Australia The next available appointment is another month away! My original enquiry was before Christmas! Two delays, each a month, with no recourse for speeding things up. I’d hardly call that acceptable. Meanwhile others get their appointments as requested.
.@NBN_Australia for the second time now I've had my fibre upgrade appointment cancelled on the day on install, and pushed out by a month. Is this really acceptable?
@Cephalofair just ran across your Cones of Dunshire BYO blog entry https://t.co/7aJWPKK569 and noticed the link to the cards no longer points to the correct file. This has made me sad - can it be fixed?
@flowblok What about:
- UAP candidate mentions "freedom"
- Someone says "Senate result won't be known for at least a <week or more>"
- Someone mentions a "surprising result"
- Passive aggressive comment made by one of the major party reps directed at the other

To all other AU #iOS users - did your calendar app switch to starting on a Monday at some point? I had to switch it back to start on Sunday in settings - apparently Mon is AU default. Since when has Mon ever been the default in #AU. Our politician fridge magnets all start on Sun!
@smh@LisaVisentin Factual inaccuracy in your article - WA does not use the Australian Curriculum directly, but adopt and adapt it to creat their own WA curriculum. States that use it directly are ACT, QLD, Tas and SA/NT, although on their own timelines.
@hogesonline So many answers to pick from now! My suggestion would be a rooms dict with room ids as keys and lists of connected rooms as values, and a separate objects dict which contains room ids: [objects in room]. Could be stored as strings in a file and read into vars at start of game?
@sgunja1 @ZeinaChalich And many non tech teachers don’t appreciate just how wide the knowledge gap is - we’re talking while undergrad degrees equivalent in knowledge and skills, not something you can build in a couple of days or a week
@ZeinaChalich @sgunja1 Their students miss out. And schools don’t really have a lot of options to support those teachers and get them learning - not to mention some just don’t get the opportunities due to lack of available in their fields. Do schools have “good” individualised PL models?
@ZeinaChalich @sgunja1 Even small group tutoring and one on one feedback sessions with them don’t necessarily lead to knowledge acquisition - it’s far more complicated than that. And working alongside them doesn’t scale - not to mention how we resource it.
@ZeinaChalich @sgunja1 And not all experts are teachers either. I say this having been at the receiving end of lecturers and professors at the top of their fields, in multiple disciplines. Some are terrible teachers, even though it is clear they know their content back to front.
