Birmingham is officially the UK's third friendliest city according to @CNTraveler
But which neighbourhood, pub, café, shop or street deserves the crown as Birmingham's friendliest spot?
Replies, accusations of bias and bribes all welcome.
Gas Street Basin, Birmingham. One of my favourite places to moor. I took this the last time I was there and every day was like waking up in Victorian England. The atmosphere of this place was beyond compare. The Grand Union Canal is on the left and one of several pubs is on the right. People who worked on the canals worked hard and got thirsty. Quite a few people have come out of these pubs and fallen into the canal over the years. Some never climbed back out. Incredibly I’ve never fallen in. Yet.
FOLKS! The Chamberlain fountain is working again! And she’s looking super clean, Chamberlain Square feels even more alive again 😮💨
What’s that? Along with the Floozie we have 2 working fountains in the centre of the City again! 😂 let’s keep this up!
