@iota_09 It probably wasn't as much of a system seller type direct for me, but boy would I be lying rn if said I didn't have similar thoughts watching it lol
So, Nintendo Direct (and this year's attempt at resurrecting E3 as a whole really): pretty solid
A good 80% IS of varying levels and flavours of "meh" (especially if you're not a fan of it), but what remains is so good it easily overshadows everything else
@caseyda27520644 I assume it's more so bc there was a window of opportunity and there's just not much to show beyond a teaser and "it sure is in development..." but yeah, you won't hear me arguing too much here.
That was my main gripe with this one too
@caseyda27520644 Idk, like I said it's both this direct AND all the previous shows from earlier (State of play, Xbox, etc.), so u know, just bc it fit the pattern doesn't mean it shines in comparison or anything
Xbox showcase sure is a weird one for me.
Everything looks really fun but I also reeeally struggle to give a fuck about at least a 3rd of everything shown.
Fucken Schrödinger's peak :/
Honestly tho - we were all madmen to have ever thought Half Life 3 would be announced at the Game Awards.
Like, it's Valve.
They'll shadowdrop it on a random Tuesday with set release date and everything
Ok, despite some...choices made in the updated designs that I'm not a fan of, this is actually kinda peak.
Hopefully it's not just the trailer and the game lives up to the hype too
