The Isle of Man has reportedly sunk by two inches every year since the TT began in 1907. Not because of natural causes, but because of the combined weight of the riders’ enormous balls that gather there every year.
The Isle of Man TT is happening this week, and there has already been one casualty during qualifying.
As of May 2026, 271 competitors have lost their lives on the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course since racing began in 1907. That figure includes fatalities during both races and qualifying sessions. Without a doubt, the Isle of Man TT is considered one of the most dangerous sporting events in the world.
One of the traditions at this MotoGP event is riders getting absurdly low, often leaning 60°+, scraping their knees, elbows, and even shoulders on the asphalt while carrying insane speed. Insane.
