Here it is. My top 25 of all time. Based on not just how much I loved them when they came out but also with how well they have aged. I’m sure if I did it tomorrow it would have some variations. What am I missing?
@HairMtlMessiah Such a great album. Love Violent New Breed as well. Both have aged well for me. Still listen to both and love both. First one hasn’t aged as well for me as those two.
It’s by “Bad Reputation”. It is good, but I have the original ad well so I would just put it on but for me it was wanting the second disc and the demo’s on it. I would say for sound quality for demos they are pretty good as far as strength of songs, I wouldn’t really say they are any where I was like “Why the hell didn’t this make the album?”. But, they are cool to have so it was worth picking up for me.
I was super excited to get this newly remastered double CD of Powertool. My thoughts after giving it a good couple of listens. They definitely picked the right songs for the albums. The demos included are ok. I guess being such a huge Sleeze Beez fan I was probably expecting (hoping) for more hidden gems than there are on it. That said, still cool to have. Still a huge SB’s fan. Screwed and Powertool are two of my fave albums of the genre. And wtf has this never been released on vinyl??
The first few albums I did. I wouldn’t say they were my fave band by any means. I much preferred stuff with a little more sandpaper and sleaze to it like Dirty Looks and Wildside, Rhino Bucket etc. I think Mr.Big and Extreme are talented as musicians, just their albums didn’t do much for me.
@michaelbambi@coolasice232 I agree that they have kind of ran the course now. Unfortunately, a lot bands from that era have honestly. Some, like Jovi are almost making some of their greatest songs unrecognizable.
@coolasice232@michaelbambi 94 was a great album, just didn’t work under the Crue banner. Too Fast For love to me is still a phenomenal album today. Feelgood too but just way overplayed I can’t listen to it anymore. Been actually listening to Theatre of Pain a fair bit as of late. Well, some of it anyway.
