Republican appointee @edlindsey14 sits on Georgia's State Election Board while cashing in $$$ as a paid lobbyist for Cobb and DeKalb Counties, the very entities that fund our county election offices. His past ties to liberal groups to include @voteathome deepens the conflicts. Mr. Lindsey has expressed his frustration with the SEB complaints calling them conspiracy theories and "Whack-a-moles" as penned in @CNN Op-eds and as commented in podcasts.
GA's SEB Code of Conduct states that members are to “avoid any appearance of conflict and/or impropriety,” and “expected not to participate in any matter or proceeding before the SEB” when their employer has “provided any personal or professional services to a respondent, complainant, or witness.”
Also, according to GA law, state board members are to “[n]ot engage in any business with the government, either directly or indirectly, which is inconsistent with the conscientious performance of his governmental duties.”
A recusal only handicaps outcome of the SEB Complaint -- giving the upper hand to 2 Dems vs. 1 Republican + 1 Non-Partisan Chair for a total of 4 votes vs. 5 votes.
The @DeKalbGOP and @CobbGOP call for Ed Lindsey's immediate resignation and urge Speaker @JonBurnsGA to appoint an untainted replacement before SINE DIE on March 29. #ResignEdLindsey #ElectionIntegrity #gapol

Those “lawmakers” who said this don’t know how to read documents presented to them repeatedly….
But of course they can read - they simply say this to deflect not wanting to allow @BuckheadCityGA a VOTE - because they know it will be amazing and successful for all of Buckhead and indeed for Atlanta as a whole
It will be exactly that one day soon!
Patricia is right - most of the time!!
This morning, hundreds gathered in Atlanta to submit over 116,000 signatures for a Referendum to be placed on the ballot to Stop Cop City.
The City Clerk told organizers they would accept the signatures, but not begin verification due to a stay granted in favor of city authorities, who are trying to block it.
Hasta la vista Atlanta— Bill White’s joining Mar-A-Lago. But he said he got a lesson in Georgia politics that even New Yorkers hadn’t taught him. “There, a friend here will stab you in the chest, not in the back.” #gapol https://t.co/DmisUKDQbZ
