Meet Selfie 🐒

Imagine being just a baby, losing your mother, and suddenly finding yourself without the protection you need to survive ❤️‍🩹

That is Selfie's story.

Rescued in Indonesia after being orphaned, Selfie has now become the newest guardian animal in the Buddies for Paws family.

Through our partnership with @redapes , we'll be following her journey as she takes important steps towards life back in the wild.

Every sea turtle returning to the ocean helps us better understand how to protect them for generations to come. 🧡

Two days ago, Krysta, an adult loggerhead sea turtle, was fitted with a satellite tag and released at Coquina Beach, Florida, surrounded by people who gathered to witness this special moment.

Krysta isn't just swimming home 🐢

Her journey will help raise awareness about one of the greatest threats facing sea turtles: beach erosion, which destroys the nesting beaches these incredible animals depend on.

Thanks to her satellite tag and @conserveturtles support, we'll be able to follow her movements and learn more about her journey in the wild 🌊

Every piece of data collected helps scientists better understand sea turtles, protect their habitats, and improve conservation efforts for future generations 🐢

Hero has graduated from puppy school and has now moved into professional training with @dogsbetterlives 🐶🎓

As he continues his journey, the team will learn more about where his strengths can have the biggest impact and how he can one day support someone who needs him most 💚

This evening we’re hosting our Buddies for Paws Pilates event with @bonk_inu and @SuperteamUK 🧘‍♀️✨

Led by Chloe from Ikigai Pilates, it’s a chance to slow down, move, and take a little time for yourself - whether it’s your first class or you already love Pilates.

Every guest will receive a complimentary gift bag.

The event is free to attend, with optional donations open to anyone who would like to support Buddies for Paws and our animal welfare charity partners.

Meet Turnip 🦫

He was only a few weeks old when a storm separated him from his family.

A male beaver who spent half a year being cared for by the @ScottishSPCA is now thriving at a sanctuary in Cornwall.

Today, after months of dedicated care, Turnip is healthy, safe, and growing up where he belongs ✨

After his six-month stint Turnip left the centre in November 2024, weighing 10kg, for his new home at Cornish Seal Sanctuary.

He has continued to thrive there ever since and has since been joined by female beaver Parsnip.
