Buffer's API is here.
One API. Ten social platforms.
โก Publish and schedule social posts from your own backend or automation stack.
๐ GraphQL, so you query exactly what you need, nothing more.
๐ฅ๏ธ A CLI that lets you or your coding agents interact with Buffer's API without leaving the terminal.
๐ OAuth is fully managed, so building third-party integrations doesn't mean inventing your own auth pattern.
๐ค An MCP server, so AI agents like Claude can draft, schedule, and manage your queue directly.
๐ Integrates seamlessly with no-code automation tools like Zapier, n8n, and IFTTT.
๐ An interactive playground to test GraphQL queries and see results in real time.
๐ Available on all plans, even free
Appreciate the report! I believe this is expected behaviour rather than a bug. It usually means the post had already gone out by the time the action was tapped, and a slow platform response makes that more likely by leaving the old buttons up a moment too long. Does that line up with what you saw? - Mel
@patti_sidejob So happy that you found a healthier work culture. I'm inspired by your resilience and the way you've found humor through your previous experiences - Sondra
New features in Buffer this month:
๐ค One-click connect to Claude & ChatGPT
๐ Public API + CLI v1.0
๐ View-only access to comments for team members
๐ 2FA enforcement [beta]
๐ Export your Insights to PDF, markdown, or CSV [beta]
And here's a little tease for a new homescreen ๐
@DaysFan28 I'm so sorry for the ongoing trouble -- Danny is looking into the logs for your posts and we will respond to your email once we have more info! -Lexi
Great question! What you're describing (feed one piece of content โ auto-split into a timed content calendar) isn't a single built-in call today, but it's absolutely within reach using agent orchestration.
You'd use the MCP server or API to have an AI agent break the content into individual posts, make multiple createPost calls with custom dueAt timestamps, or wire it together in n8n, Zapier, or a lightweight custom script.
The public API + MCP is genuinely designed for exactly this kind of "build your own publishing layer" use case โ so the building blocks are all there, it just needs assembly.
On Asia timezones: yes, fully supported โ dueAt accepts any UTC timestamp, so scheduling across any region works out of the box.
Would love to see what you build! ๐

Commentary is one of the most important pillars of X. And sometimes the best way to share your thoughts is with video.
Today we're launching a whole new way to make them:
React with Video
Tap the repost button and start recording with green screen, split screen, or picture-in-picture.
Now available on iOS
You can run most of your social media from a chat window now.
Buffer's MCP connects your account straight to Claude (or ChatGPT, or whatever agent you use).
Schedule, write, edit, and save posts just by chatting. No more cut-and-pasting between apps.
Here's what that looks like day to day:
โ checking what's on your schedule
โ drafting LinkedIn posts from a few bullets
โ rewriting them for X
โ editing posts in your queue
โ saving raw ideas for later
