Reception class have loved our topic on ‘People who help us’ in our community! They have loved being very caring vets this week and concocting lots of various medicines for the animals!
Reception have loved being part of the Roald Dahl project with Year 1 and 2, run by the Roald Dahl Muesum in Tring! We can’t wait to see their book at the end of the project!
Last week, Laura from @Chilternstreams came to visit Reception class. We learnt all about our local River Chess and how we can look after our environment. Well done Reception, you were really engaged in this visit!
We had so much fun on the Chesham train today! The children all enjoyed taking a journey into London. They then created their own trains using 2D shapes 🚂
All aboard the Summer term train! We can’t wait to start our new topic on ‘All around town’! We need some Reception painters to help us get the Chesham train looking shiny and white tomorrow! 🚂
We’ve been doing amazing active maths in Reception recently. We’ve been learning all about measuring lengths and weights! Fantastic mathematical vocabulary being used too!
What a lovely last day we had with Miss Bowles on Friday! She set up a hospital area to wash doll babies and made potion necklaces with the children. Miss Bowles and Miss Luffman also loved their plates given to them by the Early years children, courtesy of Bojangles Cafe!
What an amazing morning we had with Ark visiting farm coming to see EYFS! We loved the farm animals outside and getting to know the smaller animals inside. What a fantastic experience for our youngest learners! 🐐🦎
We had a very belated pancake day last week in Reception! The children were fantastic at measuring out ingredients and being safe when frying them up! 🥞
Reception have loved the start of their topic on insects 🐞 The children were very gentle when they met our two stick insects that we hatched from last year!
We have loved our topic on polar regions topic in Reception! We’ve been looking at the ‘Lost and found’ book, learning about Inuits and creating our own ice experiments! 🐻❄️ 🐧
