In 1915, a war broke out between humans and birds in Australia.
It’s called the Great Emu War.
Soldiers with machine guns were sent to fight large flightless birds called emus… and the emus mostly won. The army failed to stop them.
In 1932, Australia's military deployed soldiers with machine guns and 10,000 rounds to fight 20,000 emus destroying farms. After weeks of battle, they killed less than 1,000 birds. The emus won. It's called the Great Emu War and it's completely real.
